McNamee Hosea, P.A. seeks a well-rounded and highly motivated Bankruptcy Attorney for its Greenbelt office. The successful attorney should have at least 1-5+ years of experience handling bankruptcy matters and/or recent bankruptcy court judicial clerkship experience. This position presents an opportunity for a blended practice of both transaction and litigation legal areas. This associate will work with a collaborative and multidisciplinary group of lawyers representing creditors and debtors in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 proceedings as well as business reorganizations.
Candidates should have excellent academic credentials, oral advocacy skills, writing skills, and must be highly organized.
Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Maryland (DC and VA are a plus).
SALARY RANGE
$100,000-$140,000 depending on experience. Semi and Annual Bonuses (vary depending on performance)

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an experienced Attorney located in Bowie, MD. The Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice, conducting legal research, and practicing various areas of law including professional malpractice. Daily tasks will include client consultations, drafting legal documents, and managing files. The Attorney will also represent clients in court and other legal proceedings.
Qualifications
- Member in good standing of the Maryland or Virginia Bar; preference given to candidates barred in two of three jurisdictions of Maryland, District of Columbia, and Virginia
- Expertise in Defense Litigation and Professional Malpractice
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Trial experience
Salary Range:
- Candidates with 3-5 years litigation experience
- $100,000.00 - $150,000.00
