SUMMARY
Working with internal customers across various departments, the Production Planner is responsible for coordinating production planning and scheduling to meet customer demand and achieve target inventory and service levels.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Execute production scheduling while balancing mold strategies, customer requirements, lead time needs, and the demand forecast.
- Establish and communicate frozen schedules with Operations. Coordinate product transfer among sites.
- Be an advocate for and track schedule adherence at the plants
- Enhance planning tools to drive scheduling process efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels across plants and DCs; perform analyses to avoid out-of-stock or overstock using the ABC methodology.
- Manage scheduling and inventory continuous improvement projects.
- Review open orders in the ERP system to ensure order fulfillment.
- Reports to management regularly and provides recommendations for a better planning process and inventory control.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Shipping to meet customer requirements, including executing schedule changes in coordination with Operations and Customer Service, and working with Customer Service to improve on-time delivery.
- Plan and prioritize operations to deliver maximum performance and minimum delay.
- Schedule Make to Order items β includes establishing dates, defining minimum QTY, filling orders to meet required ship dates, and advises Customer Service team.
- Work with Customer Service, Sales, and Product Management to determine production priorities during conflicts.
- Possess knowledge of master data to include material master, MRP, BOMs, routing, and the ECN process.
- Monitor and maintain MRP planning parameters for the manufactured items.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum requirements for education and experience are listed below. Consideration will be given to individuals with an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Bachelorβs degree in supply chain or related field
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- Must be able to travel to Mexico at least 50% of the time
- Demonstrated analytical skills with ability to develop concepts in an actionable strategy and plan
- Proficient computer skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook. MRP experience is required.
- Experience with building reports/dashboard using Excel Power query or Power BI is preferred
- Experience with SAP/JDE is preferred.
- Able to multi-task and display a high level of company/team spirit in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, as normally it is based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.

Our compensation reflects labor costs across several US markets. The pay range of $74,000 β $97,000 per year is based on relevant market data in our lowest and highest geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, and skillset. Westlake is a total compensation company. Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Location: Vista, CA
Duration: 02 Months Contract (Potential Temp to Perm)
Pay Rate: $22/hr.
Shift Time: 1st shift, M-F, 7am- 4pm
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages temperature-controlled, inventoried material in multiple warehouse locations.
- Performs Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transactions in SAP.
- Processes Transfer Orders (TO's), Goods Receipts (GR's).
- Operates various manual and motorized warehouse equipment.
- Reprioritizes tasks based on unexpected changes in the schedule and business needs
- Maintains training requirements.
- Maintains warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Maintains inventory accuracy.
- Notifies management if materials experience temperatures out of specification.
- Coordinates transfer and reconciliation of materials between facilities and completes required documentation.
- Follows all safety and general warehouse rules and policies; maintains professionalism in a regulated environment.
COMPETENCIES
- Inter- and intradepartmental interaction.
- Performs, plans, coordinates material and/or equipment transfers between warehouse locations, as required.
- Leads shipping/receiving activities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Requires a high school diploma.
- 0-2 years in related experience. GMP experience in a regulated environment preferred.

OCCUPATIONAL DEMANDS:
May occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise manipulate objects up to 55 pounds in weight, and/or lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise manipulate objects up to 25 pounds in weight frequently or continuously.

Prior experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing environment.
Valid California driver's license and good driving record Fundamental knowledge of inventory management principles.
A.P.I.C.S.
certification preferred.
Work Environment/Physical Demands/Safety Considerations Expected to be on feet for up to 8 hours a day.
May climb upwards of 6 flights of stairs a day to maneuver within the manufacturing facility.
Ability to lift up to 40lbs may be required.
Environment may require the use of gloves and steel toe boots to be worn.
Exposure to level 1 chemicals.
May work in clean room environment with large mechanical equipment, piping, and pumps connecting to tanks serviced by high-pressure steam, water and air together this creates a loud environment.
May operate a forklift, electric pallet truck and other material handling equipment.
