Job Summary
- To provide support, strategies, and appropriate intervention and supervision for the preschool staff, programs, and children and their families in the context of a preschool setting.
Responsibilities
- PERFORMS DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES
- Performs services in at least two of the three clinical areas Independent in all three areas: (ScreeningEarly Intervention, Preschool).
- Consistently selects, utilizes, and accurately interprets appropriate, testing materials and or instrumentation based on presenting needs. Actively participates in research on potential updates, modifications and/or improvements to clinical departmental protocol/instrumentation/ testing /teaching methods.
- PROVISION OF SERVICE
- Formulates child specific long and short term goals consistent with IEP format within a trans-disciplinary context.
- Implements child specific long and short term goals consistent with IEP format within trans-disciplinary context.
- Provides support for program staff to formulate and implement child specific long and short term goals consistent with IEP format within a trans-disciplinary context.
- Demonstrates the ability to use IEP Direct and all other IEP programs and goals.
- Utilizes strategies effectively based on IEP goals. Use of multimodality strategies. Modification of methods and interventions including but not limited to physical environment, daily routine, adult-child, child-child interactions. Selection and use of appropriate therapy materials. Demonstrates proficiency with use of strategies across 3 or more models i.e. center based, autism spectrum classrooms, related service, EI etc.
- COMMUNICATION
- Demonstrates the ability to use a variety of strategies to communicate appropriate clinical information regarding caseload or other clinical assignment including but not limited to presentations, demonstrations, meetings, handouts.
- Attends, schedules and conducts weekly classroom or treatment team meeting times with staff as assigned.
- Schedules regular meeting times with families at least twice a year according to school program protocol.
- Actively and consistently uses cooperative planning as a strategy for staff to staff communication including but not limited to participation on: (Classroom team, Site team, Core team, Best Practice team, and Diagnostic team).
- Consistently exchanges information with parents including observations, scheduled conferences etc. and encourages parents to actively participate
- Clearly communicates information at interagency and intra-agency meetings including to other staff, departments, and internal and external customers according to program protocol as directed.
- Demonstrates knowledge of chain of command in a crisis and follows appropriate clinical and program response according to preschool protocols.
- Documentation - Clinical Documentation:
- Completes documentation within established time frames including but not limited to diagnostic reports, progress notes, lesson plans, and annual reports according to program requirements and mandates
- Submits log notes within the established time frame
- Submits attendance within the established time frame. Completed documentation meets timeliness standards 91% of the time or greater.
- Participates in One Site Specialty In-service Program or Site Based Assignment
- Generates idea, plans, insures and appropriately measures project outcomes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- EXPERIENCE
- Educational preparation.
- Experience Preferred.
EDUCATION
- Bachelors Degree in Special Education or related field.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- NYS Certification in accordance with the requirements of the NYSED and program position requirements.

- Leadership
- Provides formal clinical mentorship and/or supervision for ED., OT, or PT for al least one staff member. Mentorship activities could be specific clinical area of expertise. Performs above support activities with two or more staff members per year
- Participates directly in orientation as assigned.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years experience.
EDUCATION
- Masters Degree in Special Education;
- Bachelors degree for designated specialty areas including but not limited to Behavior and FamilyTherapies.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
Responsibilities
- Assembles, installs and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, cooling, water and drainage systems.
- Work alongside other Plumber to complete the assigned project, whether it be in house plumber or subcontracted plumbers
- Recommends small to moderate plumbing projects, including design of plumbing runs, selection of materials and fittings and rough estimation of labor hours.
- Creates material lists and procures material to support Projects and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Aids and counsel to the Maintenance and Biomed Managers on plumbing issues and troubleshooting.
- Documents daily and tasks performed on work order records per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Education/Accredited Programs
- High school or GED preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in commercial plumbing related to facilities maintenance or construction projects.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations
- NYS Driver's License
- Pipe Welding Certification preferred
- Medical Gas experience preferred
- Seeking experience with commercial applications of pipe fitting, HVAC, or plumbing licensure.
Skills/Abilities
- Significant mechanical aptitude and proven mechanical skills.
- Use of hand tools and technical test equipment is essential.
- Ability to create useable schematics as well as to read and interpret blueprints and architectural schematics.
- Must be able to comfortably and thoroughly plan and execute plumbing tasks associated with hospital operations in a light industrial environment.

Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $24.12 - $36.22 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
