LICENSURE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE NOTES:
Licensure & Certification
- Must be licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Physician Assistants.
- Must graduate from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program
- Must pass the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE).
- Must obtain and maintain NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification.
- Requires DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
- Requires Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (MCSR) to prescribe medications.
Experience & Qualifications
- 3+ years prior experience in family medicine or primary care required.
- 3+ years prior experience with gender-affirming hormone therapy is required.
- Strong skills in patient-centered, affirming care required.
- Completion of continuing education (CE) in transgender healthcare (e.g., WPATH, Fenway Institute training) is a plus.
