The Human Resources Assistant performs various HR functions, including, but not limited to, the onboarding process, new hire orientation, background checks/drug testing process, and clerical tasks such as scanning, copying, and faxing. Assisting with special projects and the department with various assignments.


Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for onboarding new hires and the I-9 onboarding process (E-Verify).
  • Responsible for the EEO1 process and reports.
  • Responsible for the OIG process.
  • Responsible for maintaining personnel files, payroll records, and benefit files.
  • Responsible for preparing and conducting New Hire Orientation.
  • Responsible for the UAF process.
  • Responsible for scanning documents into Laserfiche for new hires, Changes of Status, FMLA, Leave, Investigations, WC, and new centers.
  • Assist with the Background checks and Drug Testing process.
  • Responsible for preparing and conducting New Hire Orientation.
  • Responsible for processing Change of Status.
  • Responsible for answering Employee Services department calls and distributing faxes.
  • Assist the HR team with any clerical duties related to initiatives and special projects.
  • Under deadlines or staff shortages, assist the department as needed.
  • Ongoing projects as needed / Additional duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, Skills, and Requirements

  • Proficiency in Windows environment, Word, and Excel.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • At least 1 year of HR experience required.
  • Hybrid rotation schedule and/or onsite as needed.
