Responsibilities: As a WC Defense Attorney, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks.
These include: 1.
Handling a caseload of workers' compensation cases, from inception to resolution.
2.
Representing the interests of employers and insurance carriers throughout the state.
3.
Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients in mediation conferences.
4.
Conducting legal research and analysis to prepare for trials.
5.
Drafting pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and filing them with the court.
6.
Representing clients in court and arguing motions.
7.
Communicating with clients, judges, and other attorneys in a professional manner.
8.
Staying updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.
9.
Collaborating with other team members to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.
Qualifications: To qualify for this role, you need the following: 1.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2.
A minimum of 1 years of experience as a WC Defense Attorney.
3.
Admission to the state bar.
4.
Proven track record of representing employers and insurance carriers in workers' compensation cases.
5.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
6.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7.
Ability to manage a high-volume caseload.
8.
Proficiency in legal research and writing.
9.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10.
Knowledge of current workers' compensation laws and regulations.
