We are seeking an experienced On-Site Safety Technician to support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance on an active construction project in Charlottesville, VA. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe jobsite by monitoring working conditions, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring all contractors comply with project-specific safety requirements and OSHA standards.
The Safety Technician will work closely with project leadership, field supervisors, and subcontractors to promote a proactive safety culture and ensure the project operates under a strong integrated safety management system.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions or behaviors
- Ensure compliance with site-specific Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures
- Assist in implementing the Construction Environmental, Health, and Safety Plan (CEHSP)
- Coordinate pre-job safety planning with field supervisors and project teams
- Ensure subcontractors follow all project safety requirements and protocols

Position Summary
Deliver comprehensive Procore training to field employees and project teams across active construction sites and regional offices. Primary Job Responsibilities
· Travel regularly to active construction sites and regional offices to deliver hands-on Procore training through group sessions, one-on-one coaching, and virtual platforms.

Barton Malow is expanding our leadership team with a newly created Director of Construction role to support our rapidly growing Southeast Healthcare Market, spanning VA, NC, SC, FL, and TN. This position will serve as a key operational and strategic resource, guiding the successful delivery of large, complex healthcare projects while elevating field excellence, safety, and innovation across the region. As a senior leader, the Director of Construction will mentor and empower our superintendent teams, shape project build strategies, strengthen client relationships, and ensure our work consistently reflects the high standards that define Barton Malow’s healthcare portfolio.
The Director of Construction oversees the construction effort on complex, large healthcare projects or multiple healthcare projects to ensure it is constructed safely in accordance with design, budget and schedule. This position directly supervises and mentors the Superintendents assigned to the project/s, collaborates with the project management team, manages the Owner’s expectations, ensures productivity of subcontractors, and provides leadership in complying with applicable project, Barton Malow, and regulation requirements. The Director provides leadership, strategic planning and embraces innovation as the construction industry evolves.
Responsibilities:
- Enforces corporate safety policies on jobsites, including pre-task safety planning and providing key responsibility for safety compliance in the field.
- Supports sales efforts and project pursuits and promotes Barton Malow in the healthcare industry.

- Partners with Project Executives with management of overall budget and forecasting of usage, by helping to control cost and monitoring potential changes from contractors, including time and materials.
- Attends internal and external (with owners and designers) project meetings to provide field progress reports, awareness of challenges faced, and help problem-solve on construction activities.
- Manages the installation of the work in the field to the quality standards required for the project.
- Supports the success of the project team, specifically upcoming Superintendents, by sharing lessons learned and training/mentoring; acts as a career advocate.

Responsibilities:About the Role
During a visit that can last up to one hour, Matrix providers review and observe a member’s current health, medical history, medication adherence, social environment and other risks. This provides unmatched insight into a member’s overall health and well-being that can be difficult to capture during routine office visits. The Matrix Comprehensive Health Assessment (CHA) helps to improve quality of care and allows us to potentially close multiple care gaps with a single visit. Our providers:
- Conduct adult / geriatric assessments to include medical history, diagnosis and treatment, health education, physician referrals, case management referrals, follow-up and clear documentation according to Matrix guidelines and protocols
- Administer and order point of care and lab-based testing as needed
- Work with physicians, case managers, social workers, family members, key caregivers, and ancillary medical personnel as appropriate
