  • Perform random sampling inspection of all incoming, in-process and finished product to ensure 100% of quality requirements are met.
  • Ensure product after each changeover is being verified to ensure compliance to product requirements.
  • To record and maintain all and clear inspection information in designated check sheet.

  • Perform Layered Process Audit (LPA) to ensure that all required process and product characteristics is being complied with.
  • Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors to achieve site goals.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions immediately.

The Opportunity:

The Administrative Assistant II (AAII) provides administrative support to the Admissions team, oversees and monitors the operations workload and workflow, and makes recommendations to improve efficiency of work processes. The incumbent identifies, proposes and initiates solutions for problematic issues and processes and disseminates and/or elevates for resolution. DETAILED STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Provides guidance to and monitors the assignments of the Operations staff and suggests adjustments of work duties to ensure effective office operations, productivity, and quality of work.
  • Maintains work/time off schedule for student workers.
  • Processes, updates, and administers prospective student applications, credentials, and related documentation through the Admissions student system and electronic filing systems, ensuring application completeness and the accuracy of all student data.
  • Updates bio-demographic student information within systems and reviews qualifying documentation.
  • Updates application-related data to reflect program selection, entry term, student type admission decisions, including deposits and matriculation and housing preferences. Including but not limited to status changes, requests for program change, and processing of cancellations and refunds.
  • Proofreads and assigns appropriate admission communications (e.g. decisions, Dean's letters, merit scholarship awards, Honors College, etc.), provides updates to merit award data, and assists in releasing decisions to applicants.

The College of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor in Music Therapy to lead the development of music therapy. This is a non-tenure-track nine-month renewable position beginning on September 1, 2026.


The College seeks a music therapist and educator who is passionate and experienced with program development, community engagement, and interdisciplinary study. The ideal candidate has strong music skills, familiarity with accreditation and licensure, and a willingness to work with a variety of institutional stakeholders. The successful candidate will be expected to direct the development of a bachelor's degree in music therapy, recruit new students, as well as teach appropriate undergraduate and graduate offerings in related interdisciplinary programs (education, psychology, health sciences, and nursing).


The appointed individual will be responsible for teaching a variety music therapy courses as well as at least one general music course aligned with the candidates' areas of expertise and experience. Minimum qualifications:



  • ABD in doctoral degree in music therapy or a closely related therapy field.

SUMMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION: Grant -Funded Integral position for a U.S. Department of Education funded Upward Bound Program Trio grant. This position is contingent upon grant funding. Develops implements and coordinates a student assessment system and plan of action to strengthen the students' academic skills, particularly in the areas of weakness identified through the assessment system. Evaluates all students periodically and documents their progress (using individual educational plans, IEP's) and maintains systematic records and produces reports on the program's academic support and instructional activities (both summer and academic year components). The Upward Bound Program works individually and in groups with educationally, economically and/or socially disadvantaged high school students to equip them with the skills and motivation necessary to successfully complete high school and be accepted into a post-secondary institution of higher education.


EXAMPLES OF PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Plans and implements academic tutoring and mentoring to meet the individual needs of the program's students for the academic year component.
  • Trains and supervises six- eight part-time tutor/mentors and one part time Master Tutor
  • Completes required program evaluations and submits them to the Upward Bound Office at the close of each school quarterly marking period.
  • Reports quarterly on programmatic developments and curricula design.
  • Travels between satellite programs at area schools and attends Saturday sessions.
  • Conducts home visits and participates in parental conferences at the request of the Director
  • Acts as liaison between UMass Dartmouth and area high schools.
  • Assists seniors and parents in completing all forms necessary for college admissions and financial aid.
