Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry overflow unit in Alabama, requiring an active AL or compact RN license and experience with high-acuity patients and cardiac drips.
Details
- Medical Surgical overflow and telemetry unit in a hospital setting
- High-acuity patient population with a 1:6 or 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Proficiency required with cardiac drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone
- Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, with 3x12 or 4x12 hours available based on traveler preference
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Block booking available
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Alabama (AL) or compact RN license, in good standing
- Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
- Must be comfortable managing high-acuity patients
- Experience with cardiac drip administration (Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone) required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Must provide a copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card for consideration
- COVID-19 vaccination required unless a documented religious or medical exemption is on file
- Flu shot required unless a documented religious or medical exemption is on file
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrub colors: all navy, or navy pants with a white top
- Orientations are held every other Monday
