OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center is Oklahoma’s only Level I Trauma Center. Clinicians should have strong Trauma Level 1 experience and/or be willing to work with difficult cases. Travelers will be first to float.
Required skills and experience: Stepdown/PCU experience is required. Must have acute care surgical floor experience. Nurses for this unit need Med Surg experience as this floor has inpatients pre or post-surgical services-mostly surgical experience is needed. 4E 61000 candidates will care for patients post operatively and need to have experiences taking care of patients with new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, NGT or DHT. Some of these patients will be Step down care as well.
Preferred skills and experience: ENT and/or Transplant Experience Preferred.
Preferred credentials: Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program.
Unit and facility details: Ratios are 5 or 5:1 for surgical patients and 3:1 for SD area.

Key Responsibilities Detonate and demolish hazardous munitions, pyrotechnics, and outdated explosives; neutralize ordnance including sea mines, torpedoes, depth charges, and improvised explosive devices; remotely disable unsafe ordnance using robotic and diagnostic technology; conduct parachute and helicopter insertion operations; clear waterways of mines in support of ships and submarines; provide explosive ordnance support to law enforcement agencies and organizations such as the United States Secret Service and Department of State.
