Essential duties include managing post-surgical patients with a case mix of 80% spine surgery and 20% cranial-based procedures, conducting daily rounds, and providing consultations for ICU patients and those transitioning through the ICU. The clinician will serve as first assist during 2-4 surgical procedures per day across 2-3 days weekly and perform minor procedures including suture wounds and wound aspirations. Board certification and New York medical license are mandatory requirements for this Level 3 trauma center position.
