Full time position (1.0 FTE)
- Full-time physician contact hours are equivalent to approximately 1500 hours annually

- Physician will provide specialized medical treatment according to patient needs
- Physician will manage multiple patients both with serious and non-serious illnesses and injuries including heart attacks, stroke, motor vehicle accidents, severe infections, and pneumonia, and perform assessments, diagnostic procedures, and medical treatments as needed to resuscitate or stabilize patients and refer them to the appropriate medical departments.

Parkview Health is currently seeking a full-time Board Eligible / Board Certified Palliative Care physician to join our Palliative Oncology team at Parkview Packnett Family Cancer Institute in Fort Wayne, IN .
Specifics of The Role
- The ideal candidate is a compassionate and innovative physician driven to provide a multidisciplinary approach to palliative care in the cancer population.
- Palliative care is an integral part of our cancer care delivery model with involvement at all stages of a patient’s cancer journey, when appropriate.
- Commitment to proactive management of symptoms and improvement of quality of life.
- Completion of a palliative care fellowship favored, but internal medicine or dual palliative oncology and medical oncology training would be considered.
- Call frequency is 1:3
- Academic-style practice in a community setting
- Health system utilizes EPIC EMR System
