Serves as advocate for patients’ rights and intervenes to promote and defend these in order to ensure a patient’s safety and well-being.
Provides support to providers, nursing, and allied health caregivers in the management of admitted patients. Serves as a resource for inpatient staff and assists in coordinating outpatient management planning to facilitate patient care and to enhance patient compliance with discharge plans.
Demonstrates awareness of self-learning needs and seeks ways to meet these in order to maintain current competency and respond to new clinical and educational demands. The Center for Advanced Joint Replacement is a 30 bed inpatient unit, located at our Wilmington Hospital in Delaware, specializing in the care of knee and hip replacement patients. This is a surgical inpatient unit for elective surgery, with a primary focus on joint replacement and bariatric surgery. This unit also receives ENT & plastic surgery patients.

Requirements:
BSN Preferred, dedication to acquiring BSN within three years of the date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.
Qualified applicants MUST have at least two years of experience in med/surg., Surgical experience preferred
Current RN licensure in the State of Delaware
BLS required.
ACLS, PALS, and TNCC are required within 6 months of hire.

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Registered Nurse to work day/evening - 80 hours bi-weekly. This position will have day rotation to evening shifts, and on-call obligations. Weekend and Holidays per the guidelines of the department.
The selected RN will be an upbeat Operating Room Registered Nurse who wants to be a part of a growing operating room team passionate about providing excellent clinical outcomes through caring service to our patients and their families.
Requirements:
- BSN preferred.
- Commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.
- Current RN licensure required
- At least 2 years of Operating Room Experience is required.
- Knowledge of multiple specialties preferred.
- knowledge of ophthalmology and robotics specialties preferred
- CNOR certification a plus.
The successful candidate may be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus to be paid over a period of 12 months
Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
