The ChristianaCare Microbiology Laboratory located on the Newark campus, is currently recruiting for a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician.
This position is full time, Day shift, in the Newark Microbiology Lab. The work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm. and every third weekend and 2-3 holidays per year. The position also requires a periodic rotation to the Microbiology Lab at Wilmington.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately performs all test procedures as listed in the procedure manual.
• Performs and records all scheduled instrument preventative maintenance procedures.
• Follows established quality control procedures, documenting corrective action if necessary.
• Adheres to all turnaround times, documents calls as necessary, verifies critical values and specimen identification.

A well‑established industrial services provider is seeking a Coating/Painting Division Manager to lead and grow its coatings operations. This leader will be responsible for building the division—bringing business, developing talent, overseeing projects, and working across multiple trades in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
Role Summary
This role is ideal for a leader who can both drive business development and manage operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include servicing existing facility projects, developing new customer relationships, estimating work, scheduling crews, leading and training teams, and ensuring proper documentation.
The role also involves preparing and training teams on coating and surface preparation standards, as well as understanding and supporting application techniques. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, leadership capability, and the ability to collaborate with other internal divisions such as insulation, PTM, and system scaffolding.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead the coatings/painting division, including business growth and team development

Qualifications

5D is a 35 bed medical telemetry inpatient unit located on the 5th floor at Christiana Hospital. We are a stroke over flow unit in addition to encompassing a wide variety of other diagnoses as well as ages. We also have a partnership with CCHP (Christiana Care Hospitalist Partners) by cohorting their patients on our unit.
We are currently seeking an experienced RN to work 36 hours per week, Day shift at Christiana Hospital. Weekend and Holidays per the guidelines of the department. Typical shift is 7a - 7p.
Requirements:
BSN preferred
Commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.
Current Delaware RN license or eligibility for Delaware RN license

Registered Nurse – VAD Coordinator

The RN VAD Coordinator serves as the clinical and equipment expert for patients with Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs), responsible for coordinating all aspects of patient-centered care and equipment management. This role serves as the primary liaison between patients, providers, the community, and the hospital throughout the duration of mechanical circulatory support. The LVAD Coordinator functions as a clinical expert, educator, patient advocate, subject matter expert for regulatory compliance, and collaborator in program development and quality improvement initiatives.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, no weekends or holidays required. On-call requirement one week a month.
Job Duties:
- Oversee, evaluate, and direct activities related to managing all durable VADs.
- Provide comprehensive care and support for LVAD patients across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Perform regular device assessments, driveline care, device troubleshooting, dressing changes, and clinical monitoring.
- Coordinate, monitor, and follow all pre and post VAD implant diagnostic studies.
- Manage weekly INR/Warfarin dosing and communicate with patients.
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary daily rounds with the heart failure and surgical teams.
- Respond to urgent patient/device issues in collaboration with the clinical team.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in patient selection, pre-operative evaluation, and post-operative follow-up.
- Facilitate transplant evaluation and referral to transplant center for patients who will receive a device as a bridge to heart transplant.
- Facilitate the transfer of evaluation information to VAD team members and other advanced heart failure centers.
- Assist with pump preparation and all necessary VAD implant monitoring tasks in operating room as needed by surgical team.
- Provide monitoring of VAD patients for all post-implant procedures requiring sedation
- Document and maintain comprehensive records in the electronic medical record, recording progress notes at appropriate intervals.
- Deliver comprehensive education on LVAD operation, maintenance, alarms, driveline care, lifestyle modifications, and emergency protocols.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Graduated from an accredited nursing institution with a BSN required
- Minimum of five years of nursing experience in a cardiac or heart failure acute care setting
- Prior advanced heart failure / LVAD experience strongly preferred
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware
