Forte Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with direct MTA project experience to support our growing portfolio of public infrastructure work across New York City.
This role is for a construction professional coming from a general contractor environment who understands the demands of agency-driven work, complex coordination, and delivering projects in active transit environments.
What You’ll Do
- Lead delivery of MTA infrastructure construction projects
- Manage schedule, cost control, subcontractors, and field coordination
- Serve as the primary interface with MTA project management and agency stakeholders
- Oversee contracts, change orders, and project documentation
- Drive project execution with strong collaboration between field leadership and trade partners
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of construction experience with a general contractor
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority

Compensation
In compliance with New York salary transparency laws:
Base Salary: $185,000 – $250,000
Total Compensation Potential: Up to ~$300,000 with performance bonus
Compensation is based on experience, project background, and leadership responsibilities.

Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Possess a current valid driver's license
- Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is mandatory.
- Must be at least 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral. Exceptions may apply for those with current or prior service in federal law enforcement positions covered by special retirement provisions. The Secret Service has determined that age is essential to the performance of this position.
- You must obtain a Top Secret Clearance and retain it during your career.
- Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular, possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
