Summary:

Essential Job Responsibilities

This role offers the chance to practice in a supportive, community-focused hospital setting within the lush landscapes of East Texas.

Position Highlights Shift Details: 12-hour in-house day shifts: 8 AM ??? 8 PM.

In-house call coverage: 8 PM ??? 8 AM (must be within 30 minutes of the facility).

Coverage Requirements: 7 shifts per rotation (flexible schedule available).

Includes weekend and on-call responsibilities.

Facility Details 49 total beds with 7 ED beds.

No ICU coverage required.

ED annual volume: ~7,452 patients.

Average patient load: 1-8 per shift.

Hospitalists are expected to intubate with assistance from the ED physician.

Admission rate: ~10%.

Requirements Active Texas medical license and DEA.

Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.

ACLS, PALS, and DEA certification.

Ability to perform intubations.
