GENERAL SUMMARY:
Supervises the timely receipt, stocking, order filling, or shipment of merchandise. May supervise employees who operate rolling stock equipment and/or automated equipment.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews WMS reports; notifies WMS personnel regarding shutdowns or other WMS failures.
- Utilizes Standard Operating Procedures to resolve and correct problems; communicates issues to Inbound/Outbound Manager.
- Reviews reports to determine daily department staffing levels; reviews staffing plan with Inbound/Outbound Manager.
- Develops continuity in utilization of Labor Transfer pay program.
- Conducts weekly and monthly staffing review with Inbound/Outbound Manager.
- Partners with Training Department to monitor new employee development tracking.
- Plans daily production goals.
- Utilizes Productivity Improvement Plan process to identify improvement areas.
- Reviews quality measurements and reports status to Inbound/Outbound Manager.
- Maintains employee records on a daily basis.
- Supports safety programs to reduce or eliminate employee injuries.
- Conducts annual employee reviews and merit increase evaluations.
- Interviews and selects candidates for employment in partnership with Human Resources department.
- Performs counseling sessions and is empowered to dismiss employees in applicable situations.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
- Understanding of inventory accounting.
- Knowledge of specific inbound or outbound functions within the distribution center.
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated skills necessary to assist employees in conflict resolution and one-to-one communication.
- Good oral and written communication skills to include interviewing skills.
- Computer skills: warehouse management systems, Word, Excel, and payroll/personnel systems such as KRONOS.
WORK EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION:
- Automated distribution center experience preferred.
- Two or more years of supervisory experience.
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to physically move throughout the distribution center to monitor the flow of merchandise.
- Exposure to changing climatic conditions.
- Exposure to dust, lighting and noise.
- Some heavy lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling may be required to assist employees when necessary.

Summary
Responsible for facilitating access to Medical Center services. Utilizes effective communication and documentation with physicians, physician staff, health care facilities, patients and patient representatives to collect and analyze pertinent clinical data as related to the procedure(s) scheduled, intervening to prevent problems that could result in adverse patient outcomes or delayed/cancelled procedures. Provides exemplary customer service and interacts in a professional, courteous manner with co-workers, physicians, patients and the public.
PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.
2. *Performs multi-resource appointment scheduling for inpatient/outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic services received from physician and/or physician staff. Obtains patient information including medical necessity/diagnosis, demographics, and pertinent clinical information as related to the procedure(s) scheduled. Collects and documents information beyond that listed in procedural questionnaire based on critical assessment of patient history.
3. *Integrates physical, mental and cultural considerations in scheduling of patient procedure(s), coordinating services to ensure the Medical Center is patient ready upon customer arrival.
4. *Collaborates with physician office staff to educate the patient/patient representative on preparation and understanding of scheduled procedure(s); clearly communicates instructions to patient and/or patient representative.
5. Provides recommendations and education to physician office staff commensurate with scope of practice in scheduling of procedure(s).
6. *Reviews and evaluates outpatient orders received from the physician and/or physician staff; uses clinical judgment /critical thinking to follow-up on appropriateness and completeness of physician orders as they relate to procedure(s) ordered.
7. *Receives and documents verbal physician orders.
8. Screens/determines appropriateness of level of care and admission status; notifies appropriate department(s) based on assessment of patient needs.
9. Enters order sets for procedures while coordinating with physician offices and performing departments. Reviews for accuracy to ensure all orders needed are entered and available.
10. Documents pre-certification/authorization/referral information when applicable.
11. *Prepares and provides patients with an estimate, if one is warranted, for their expected services. Collects and/or counsels on expected payment due.
12. *Keeps Patient Service Center and Scheduling Manager informed of issues related to procedures including but not limited to: necessary questionnaire revisions, updates related to departmental requests and need for new or revised procedure(s) build.
13. *Responsible for preceptoring and /or resourcing of peers.
14. *Assesses employee competencies and level of performance; cross trains employees into specialized areas and documents training.
15. Collaborates with management to plan and communicate changes to the work group.
16. *Serves as a liaison in building and maintaining professional relationships between physicians, physician office staff and other health care personnel.
17. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
18. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.

OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS:
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification and certification required. Certified Foot Care Nurse certification preferred and/or Certified Anticoagulant Therapist certification per Manager pre-approval and work assignment.
