Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pediatrician with a passion for complex care to join our growing and highly collaborative section for Medical Complexity within the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. This is a unique opportunity to provide both inpatient and outpatient care for children with the highest levels of medical complexity, supported by a robust interdisciplinary team at one of the nation?s top children?s hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality clinical care for a panel of approximately 475 medically complex pediatric patients, including those with technology dependence and multi-specialty involvement.
  • Deliver care across inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and via telehealth at Monroe Carell Jr. Children?s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
  • Participate in a hybrid schedule: 3 half-days of clinic and 3 half-days of ED/inpatient consults per week.
  • Work closely with case managers, pharmacists, dietitians, social workers, and nurse practitioners to deliver coordinated, family-centered care
  • Share call responsibilities (home call) and holiday inpatient coverage with three other physicians.
