Overview: The Supervisor of Ride Operations is responsible for ensuring that the Ride Operations Department maintains a professional atmosphere and ensures the standards of safety and guest service are being upheld by direct and indirect reports.

Makes regular field visits to monitor employee performance and policy compliance and resolving various operational issues.Responsibilities:Ensures the safety of our guests and employees by ensuring that all employees are operating according to the policies and procedures outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures manual; directs employee actions during emergency situations and resolves operational concerns.Supervises daily work performance of Ride Operators; provides coaching and counseling regarding performance and disciplinary situations; provides credible input into discipline, promotion, demotion and termination decisions; prepares and conducts job performance evaluations for direct and indirect reports.Ensures guest satisfaction by responding and resolving guest concerns quickly, coordinating other departments' actions that can impact Ride Operations, and making decisions that resolve issues that arise in the daily operation.Makes daily downward adjustments and recommendations for upward adjustments to labor levels based on attendance and sales to meet cost center specific goals.Reviews daily, weekly, and monthly department paperwork and reports.Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.Qualifications:You!People who love helping others and will support the needs of our guests and associates.Good judgement and a commitment to safety.Ability to work and interact with people from diverse backgrounds.Individuals with a passion and excitement about Carowinds.Availability to include some weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

• Operate hand tools such as pruners , lopping shears, blowers, mowers , shovels, and rakes.

Shift/ Schedule Requirements: Ability to work various shifts and days including nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

Assists with the maintenance and installation of all the HVAC needs in the Parks. Performs services of diagnosing, trouble-shooting and installing air conditioning and heating systems, air supply and return plenums with duct board, and flex ducting. Responsibilities and requirements may vary by location.

• Interacts with and communicates with various groups and individuals, such as the immediate supervisor, other Park managers and staff, co-workers, guests, vendors, contractors, inspectors, etc.
• Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving directions.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flags safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervisor.
• Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
• Meets Six Flags's attendance requirements as outlined in Six Flags attendance policies.
• Adheres to Six Flags's code of conduct including costuming and grooming standards as outlined in employees' Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities Differentiation:

Performs most kinds of HVAC required in the park: seeks guidance on most complex HVAC work. Works well with customers and able to explain issues that may arise.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Proficient in most aspects of HVAC function. Good verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex HVAC issues with customers in a way they understand. Good judgment, decision making and problem solving skills.

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent. Vocational training preferred.

License or Certification:

Valid driver's license. Gas Fitter 1 license required in applicable states. CFC recovery certification required in applicable states. Canada: Trade license or equivalent depending on trade.

Experience:

Typically requires 2-4 years of HVAC experience. Refrigeration experience preferred.

Equivalency:

Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the above requirements.

$18 / hour

This positon may include:

• Washes and cleans trash and spills off of park midways.
• Washes down park midways with a hose.
• Uses leaf blowers to sweep up debris.

Our team of Entertainment Supervisors work with performers, associates, and guests to ensure safety for all as well as creating memorable entertainment and event experiences parkwide. This role supervises associates in the park daily, assists with training, scheduling, evaluating, disciplining, and supporting teams on location. As an Entertainment Supervisor, you will work to ensure departmental goals and objectives are communicated and implemented by personnel under your supervision. Positions vary on parkwide Entertainment operations and programming ranging from working with the Character Program, Special Event/Festival programming, Technical/Production team, Costumes/Cosmetology team, or even in a Stage Management capacity with the Shows team. Entertainment Supervisor daily assigned duties may vary depending on location/program assignment & may include tasks such as:

• Supervising daily operations within the Entertainment department

• Opening/closing locations ensuring cleanliness in guest facing areas as well as backstage areas

Singers must provide their own music track showcasing an upbeat pop song and a musical theatre song. Actors will be reading from a selection of sides provided upon check in.  

Costume Characters must be no taller than 5'3"  

Virtual Submissions &  Special Skill Submissions (such as stilt walking, jumping stilts, cirque skills, etc.) may be submitted virtually   no later than February 14th to    to be considered for Spring/Summer casting.  

Singers &  Singer/Dancers:   When picking your audition piece, please keep in mind that our shows include high energy pop, rock, and even country music. Please prepare 2 contrasting vocal selections showing versatile styles- your best 16-32 bars of each. Aux cord will be provided for In Person Auditions. You  MAY NOT  sing a cappella.  FOR IN PERSON AUDITIONS,   please dress appropriately in case you are asked to do a movement combination.  

Dancers:   Our shows mix traditional musical theatre and jazz with hip hop and even dance team styles of choreography. Are you a tumbler? Are you a classically trained ballerina? Are you an aspiring Rockette? We want to see all of that! Come prepared to learn a high-energy dance combination. Please plan to dress professionally, in a way that allows for movement. Please also bring at least 2 types of shoes.  

Improvisational & Character Actors + Show Hosts:   Be over the top and confident! You will be provided with audition sides to read from upon check in. We do not expect you to memorize this, but we do want to see you try new things and make BOLD choices when reading for us. You may also be asked to improvise during the audition .  Please be sure to include any improvisation experience on your resume.

About the position

As a   Production Technician   with   Carowinds Live Entertainment   Department, you will play a vital role in the creation and execution of our brand new shows, attractions, and events. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your previous experience in an amusement park setting, where you will work on crews responsible for building, setting up, operating, and tearing down live shows and events. Your primary responsibilities will include reading, understanding, and implementing plans and blueprints, as well as translating designer concepts into functional builds for shows and events. You will be expected to assemble and install structures, equipment, and infrastructure with minimal supervision, ensuring that all projects meet the high standards of quality and safety expected at Carowinds. In this role, proficiency with hand and power tools is essential, as you will operate a variety of equipment, including golf carts, forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, construction equipment, and motor vehicles. You will have the opportunity to work both individually and as part of a team, collaborating with fellow associates to create memorable experiences for our guests. • Operate a variety of equipment such as golf carts, forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and construction equipment.
• Work individually or as part of a team to achieve project goal.
