Speech Language Pathologist Key Responsibilities:
- Assessments & Evaluations: Conduct compliant, formalized and dynamic assessments to determine educational eligibility/level of functioning. Complete observations and evaluations and manage annual and triennial reviews. Develop and maintain compliant IEPs and participate in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and coordinate treatment plans with interdisciplinary team members to ensure educational benefit.
- Consultation & Instruction: Consult with team members, including families, to maximize generalization of target skill sets. May oversee and support a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), including monitoring supervision hours and promoting ongoing professional development.
- Data Collection & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress, including therapy notes and assessment data, and use research-based data for monitoring and reporting.
- Time Off Management for Full-Time School Employees: Employees are encouraged to schedule their time off during school breaks. Time off requests will be reviewed and approved by the supervisor to ensure minimal disruption to normal operations.
Speech Language Pathologist Qualifications:
- Licensure: Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are delivered or eligibility to obtain such licensure.
- Certifications: Department of Education certification (if applicable), and any relevant certifications (e.g., CPR, CPI) as needed.
- Experience: Preferably one year of experience in speech therapy
- Clearances: DOJ/FBI Livescan background check and TB clearance required. Must be eligible to work in the US.
- Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities; knowledge of evidence-based practices and special education programs preferred.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Speech Language Pathologist Physical Demands:
- Environment: Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes.
- Activity: Frequent engagement in tasks such as reaching, handling, standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.

The role is a full-time contract position, covering leave from 9/4/25 to 1/31/26.
The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, amounting to 37.5 billable hours per week.
This role requires the ability to travel between children's homes and other job-related locations during the workday.
Responsibilities: As a Consulting SLP, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
Other responsibilities include: 1.
Developing and implementing individualized therapy programs designed to improve communication.

Collaborating with various teams to design and implement IEP (Individualized Education Programs).
3.
Providing guidance and supervision to Speech Language Pathologist Assistants.
4.
Conducting assessments, diagnostic tests, and evaluations to determine students' needs and progress.
5.
Educating family/caregivers on speech disorders and available therapies.
6.
Documenting progress towards established objectives and goals.
7.
Participating in school meetings and conferences as required.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this role must possess the following qualifications: 1.
A valid Washington State SLP license.
2.
ESA certification (we will expedite the ESA process for the right candidate).
3.
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP or "C's").
4.
A valid Washington State driverβs license and the ability to travel as needed.
5.
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
6.
Strong understanding of speech-related conditions and therapies.
7.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
8.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals.
9.
Experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not required.
