We are hiring Medical Support Assistants to support the VA Colorado Health System at onsite clinic and medical center locations in Denver and Aurora, CO.
This is a full-time, onsite opportunity supporting a federal healthcare contract. Candidates must live within commuting distance of Denver or Aurora.
Position Overview
The Medical Support Assistant provides administrative and customer service support within a VA healthcare setting. This role focuses on patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and front-end support functions in a clinic or medical center environment.
This is not a clinical Medical Assistant role — it is an administrative, patient-facing support position within a hospital/clinic setting.
Location (100% Onsite)
• Denver, CO – Cherry Creek area
• Aurora, CO – VA Medical Center
Candidates must be able to commute daily. No remote or hybrid option is available.

Mortgage Underwriter
Location: Denver, Colorado
Full Time
Roles and Responsibilities
- Underwrite loans in accordance with Merchants’ guidelines. Responsibilities will include:
- Review and reconcile loan applications to ensure the loan meets program requirements.
- Analysis of loan application, credit profile/report(s), background reports, financial statements, leverage ratios, appraisal reports, renovation budgets, entity documents, purchase agreements, borrower experience, collateral, and supporting documentation.
- Manage an ongoing pipeline of loans through the Merchant’s loan origination process.
- Report on the status of loans within the pipeline on a regular basis.
- Communicate effectively with Loan Originators, Underwriters, and the Credit Committee.
- Present loans to the Credit Committee for exceptions, escalations, and approval.
- Condition files for missing/supporting documentation according to Merchants’ guidelines.
- Perform a preliminary review of all underwriting documents, including third-party reports.
- Collect, analyze, and approve all required due diligence.
- Perform property and market assessments to evaluate property conditions and market/submarket dynamics.
- Communicate and document the reasons for approving or rejecting loans so that clients and loan officers are well-informed about the decisions made.
- Mentor and train junior staff.
Qualifications/Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience. Strong preference for experience with underwriting commercial and business purpose loans
- Experience with institutional lending and secondary market loan trading preferred.
- Effective pipeline management skills
- Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and Word

Role Summary/Purpose
The Loan Originator will be responsible for sourcing, vetting, fostering, and closing relationships for Merchants Mortgage & Trust’s various Bridge Loan programs. Candidates should have relevant experience in providing builders with Bridge financing and should have relationships with loan borrowers active in the residential real estate Fix & Flip & Ground Up construction space. Candidates should be highly motivated, have strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a competitive yet rewarding sales position.
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and close on prospective bridge loan borrowers
- Cultivate and maintain strong business relationships with borrowers
- Obtain all required paperwork and financial information from perspective borrowers
- Report business development and sales activity
- Meet with new and existing prospects
- Help develop and execute business plans with thorough market and competitor analysis
