This position is eligible for shift and weekend differential and has a minimal call requirement for night shift coverage.
The position prepares patient for testing (including thorough screening questioning), assists the radiologist during testing, operates the MRI equipment for a variety of procedures, maintains supply inventory in assigned rooms, and covers call duty, as assigned.

Riverside Methodist Hospital is hiring for a full-time (32 hours/week), day shift Ultrasound Technologist, which consists of two 12-hour shifts and one 8-hour shift per week; weekend rotation is every 4th weekend.
One 10-hour on-call shift is required every 2 weeks.
The Ultrasonographer independently performs requested ultrasound examinations, searching for any possible pathology as indicated by the patient's symptoms/medical history and/or results from previous testing.
The position reviews and discusses the ultrasound findings with the radiologist and a diagnosis is made.

Assesses and evaluates the patient’s physical, psychosocial, environmental, spiritual, social and education needs and documents patient/family responses to nursing interventions while working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve desired patient care outcomes. Develops and implements patient’s plan of care, including the discharge plan, based on standards of nursing practice, health center policy, and patient/family needs using clinical/critical thinking skills. Provides daily direction and guidance to Licensed Practical Nurse and Nurse Assistant.

Minimum Qualifications:
Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa or qualified multi-state license required

Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.

Position Purpose:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT), within the Ohio Scope of Practice, provides therapeutic procedures and diagnostic testing to chronically and acutely ill patients requiring respiratory procedures.

Available Schedule:
10‑hour Nigh; (8:30 PM–7:30AM)
12-hour Day; (7:00 AM–7:30 PM)
12‑hour Night; (6:30 PM–7:00 AM)
Rotation: Monday–Friday with rotating weekends & holidays

What You’ll Need
Experience
Required: 1–2 years of relevant experience
Education
Required: Associate’s degree or equivalent training
Preferred: Degree in Radiologic Technology
Licensure & Certifications
R.T. (R) (ARRT) or R.T. (CT) (ARRT)
IEMA License
CPR (AHA only)
R.T. (CT) certification required within 13 months of hire
(Agency staff must have CT certification at start)
