This is an opportunity to join the well-established and growing Palliative Care Service at Loma Linda University Health. This position includes providing inpatient and outpatient consults for both pediatric and adult patients, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and participating in further program expansion.

Inpatient acute rehab for ages 0 to 21. Including a new program for infants that are coming out of the NICU with feeding difficulty, delayed milestones, anxiety with handling,
Outpatient practice: currently largely involving CP, spasticity management (ITB and Botulinum), but potential for more involvement in the multidisciplinary clinics, including the Home Ventilator clinic (SMA, MD, Severe CP), Hypertonicity/SDR clinic, Spina Bifida, high-risk infant program, and Muscular Dystrophy clinic.
Education: PMR residency program teaching opportunities.
Research: There is support within the department of PMR for faculty to pursue research. The new Totally Infants’ Program at Totally Kids has the potential for multiple projects which are in the works already.
Lifestyle:
Call: Likely participation in on-call pool for Adult Inpatient Rehab units/teams, dependent on availability and necessity.
Hours: Typically 8:00 - 5:30 pm but Fridays are usually earlier.
Pace: Patient visit length: roughly 20 -30 for returns and 30-40 for new patients. This could be flexible for a new-hire.

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Transplant Institute, is seeking a full-time Transplant Hepatologist to join our team. The ideal candidate should be board certified or board eligible in Transplant Hepatology and Gastroenterology.
Clinical duties would include outpatient clinic seeing general hepatology, pre- and post-transplant patients, outpatient endoscopy, and inpatient service 1 in 4-5 weeks. Night/weekend call is shared with GI, approximately 5-6 weeks total per year. Inpatient and outpatient duties are supported by a team of experienced NPs, PAs, and RNs. The position includes teaching students, residents and fellows. A clinical or health services research focus is encouraged, with average 3 half-days per week protected time provided.
The liver transplant program is one of the largest in California, averaging 100-110 transplants per year. We have satellite clinics in Palm Springs, Murrieta, and the nearby Riverside county hospital.
Loma Linda is the only tertiary/quaternary program in the Inland Empire, serving Riverside and San Bernardino counties with a combined population of >4 million. Both the Transplant Institute clinic and the Medical Center hospital are brand new state-of-the-art facilities. This facility has been named a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures including The Joint Commission designation as a Perinatal Center of Excellence., The hospital is also a Level I Trauma Center and a new Center of Excellence for Research as well as certification as a Primary Stroke Center.
The applicant will join 8 generalist Ob/Gyns at The Women’s Health Center as well as a robust high-risk service staffed by 3 fellowship-trained MFM physicians and full-service Gynecologic Oncology and Urogynecology division. You will be part of the Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, with the appropriate level of faculty appointment and will work with residents from the LLU Ob/Gyn residency program. The outpatient facility is a Federally Qualified Health Clinic (FQHC) with great access to support services.
