• Performs direct patient care. Collects data to determine correct procedure /protocol to be followed. Performs screening processes for medication reconciliation and allergy confirmation. • Maintains professional competencies and complies with needed education requirements as dictated by their credentialing body. Maintains clinical competencies based on departmental policies, protocols, and procedures. Works with radiologist to develop and maintain standard protocols for routine procedures.
• Moves patient from a wheelchair or a stretcher to the imaging table and positions the patient for best imaging results. Job Title : Medical Assistant/Technician (Hospital Corpsman) Category / Component : Enlisted • Both Overview Hospital Corpsmen assist healthcare professionals and provide medical and dental care to Sailors, Marines, and their families across clinics, hospitals, ships, and field units, gaining broad clinical, technical, and operational experience.

Key Responsibilities Perform emergency medical treatment for Sailors, Marines, and specialized units such as SEALs and Seabees; provide basic and emergency dental care and process dental X rays; serve as operating room technician and assist in surgery; administer preventive care and medications including immunizations and IVs; conduct physical exams and assist in diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries; maintain patient records, perform clinical tests, and support physicians and nurses in a wide range of specialties.
