Position Overview: We are seeking a versatile and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing Urgent Care team, with a focus on both general urgent care and psychiatric urgent care services. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive medical and psychiatric evaluations.
  • Diagnose and treat acute medical conditions (e.g., infections, minor injuries).
  • Assess and manage patients experiencing acute mental health issues or psychiatric emergencies.
  • Develop and implement integrated treatment plans (medical + psychiatric), including medication management.
  • Order, interpret, and follow up on labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication adherence, and preventive health strategies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, psychiatrists, RNs, and behavioral health specialists.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies (or equivalent).
  • Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant and certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • BLS or ACLS certified
  • Previous experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or psychiatric care preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to manage acute medical and psychiatric conditions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and familiarity with psychiatric assessment tools and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in patient care settings.
