Job Summary

Supervises a therapy services department; develops and implements overall therapy policies, procedures, services and programs. Develops and implements overall designated therapy setting's rehabilitation policies and procedures and treatment protocols consistent with the health care facility's vision, mission and strategic plan. Supervises and expands health rehabilitation teams and programs to ensure efficient and effective operations in the rehabilitation services department. Conducts examinations, evaluations, and interventions patients/residents who are affected by injury or disease. Utilizes tools and techniques to administer therapy interventions following safeguards. Documents client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation; establishes therapeutic plans and modifies them if necessary. Educates clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home. Knowledge of and utilizes appropriate age-related treatments and evaluations relating to the needs of clients/patients/residents.

Demonstrates and incorporate knowledge of current research into daily treatment of clients/patients/residents. May treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnosis and disorders. Will demonstrate documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and meet all regulatory requirements. Demonstrates level of treatment associated with their specialty provided to their clients/patients/residents. Follows and adheres to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organization.

Qualifications

Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.

Two years of experience in therapy and rehabilitation.

Requires current licensure as an Occupational, Physical, or Speech Therapist in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position. Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.

When applicable, may require valid driver's license and expected to travel up to 50% of the time based on needs.

Job Summary

Responsible for administration of nuclear imaging procedures, calculation, diagnostic, therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, and adjunctive medications using a variety of equipment and strictly adhering to relevant safety standards. Performs quality nuclear medicine imaging examinations through the application of advanced technical knowledge while maintaining strict attention to patient care in accordance with department policy and procedure. Carry out hot lab duties and perform a variety of nuclear medicine studies on inpatients and outpatients in all age groups from neonate to geriatric. Have an understanding of nuclear regulatory commission (NRC) rules and regulations, practice radiation safety, safely operate all cameras and equipment in the department, process and send data to required destinations via computer. Understands the theories and principles behind the equipment and tests performed in the nuclear medicine department.

Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals and therapeutically dosages under the direction of a physician. Employs radiation-detecting equipment to perform patient imaging procedures; describes procedures to patients and answers questions. Implements radiation safety standards and quality assurance into daily work and monitors a patient's condition during the course of an imaging procedure. Collects patient information, analyzes data and provides quality images for a physician to diagnose a patient.

Dependent on needs of facility and department may also be responsible and cross-trained in performing positron emission tomography computed tomography (PETCT) scans with thorough understanding of all processes related to PETCT. Has ability to perform nuclear medicine procedures after appropriate orientation to the department. Able to work with growth and development needs of unique client populations. Confirmation of thorough understanding of all processes related to PETCT.

Demonstrate qualities of a team player. Professionalism and confidentiality will be adhered to at all times. Necessary to be open to change and technology advancements.

Qualifications

Must have completed an educational program and clinical experience accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or completed a formal AMA accredited Nuclear Medicine program and be certified by the CNMT or NMTBC.

One year experience as a staff radiologic technologist; if graduate of a formal Nuclear Medicine program, no experience is

required. Must have a thorough understanding of diagnostic radiographic principles, including film processing, quality control

and radiation protection.

Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
