Position Summary
The Water Specialist ensures all product contact water (city water and plant generated potable water) used in the facility meets regulatory FDA Grade ‘A' Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO) requirements and internal food safety and quality standards. This role oversees water treatment systems, monitors water quality, supports compliance with FDA/FSMA, and ensure all water used in manufacturing, sanitation, ingredient preparation and CIP systems is compliant with internal, customer, and regulatory expectations.
Essential Functions
Water Quality Monitoring & Control
- Conduct routine sampling/testing following PMO Chapter 7 and company requirements.
- Maintain and calibrate water analysis equipment (e.g. chlorine meters, turbidity meters…).
- Maintain accurate logs for raw, treated, and post-treatment water.
- Conduct trend analysis to identify areas with continuous improvement opportunity.
Water System Management
- Monitor and maintain water treatment, filtration, RO, UV and/or chemical dosing systems.
- Manage water inventory through planning and predicting production of potable water and purchase of city water.
- Ensure proper functioning of backflow preventers, piping, storage tanks and distribution systems.
- Participate in maintenance planning and troubleshooting of water system components.
- Maintain sanitary design and hygienic standards for all water contact infrastructure, including:
- CIP rinse and final rinse water.
- Direct-contact water used in equipment, valves, and product pathways.
- Auxiliary systems (condensate of whey/evaporator water reuse, RO water, softened water).
- Ensure proper function and sanitation of water filtration, reverse osmosis/polishers, chemical treatment (chlorination, chlorine dioxide generation…), UV systems, and CIP integrated water routes.
- Partner with Maintenance to troubleshoot water heaters, boilers, supply lines, and backflow preventers.
Compliance

- Maintain complete water system records for FDA/state inspections, IMS audits, and third-party audits.
- Support hazard analyses (HACCP/PC) with specific focus on water as an ingredient and indirect-contact risk factor.
- Lead water-related corrective action investigations and preventive action documentation.
Documentation, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain water sampling schedules, test results, calibration records, and system maintenance documentation.
- Update and manage SOPs and SSOPs for dairy water systems, CIP water use, and water testing protocols.
- Provide monthly reports to Quality/Food Safety leadership summarizing trends, deviations, and system performance.
- Identify opportunities to optimize water usage, reduce chemical consumption, and improve microbial control.
Training & Cross-Functional Support
- Train CIP operators, production, and sanitation teams on proper water quality expectations and testing procedures.
- Support Engineering during new equipment installations or modifications to ensure water contact areas meet sanitary design.

- Perform carpentry work on Valley Queen-owned rental homes, temporary project structures, and other assigned projects
- Complete small concrete projects , including drilling, cutting, demolition, prep work, forming, pouring, and finishing
- Install, maintain, and repair flooring systems , including tile floors
- Repair and maintain painted and caulked surfaces , especially in areas that require heavy wash‑downs using industrial materials
- Operate large equipment for construction projects and snow removal during winter months

Summary of Responsibilities:
- Transports and delivers loaded and empty tanker, bulk, semi & van trucks in a professional, safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
- Hooks and unhooks trailers, operates pumps and valves to fill tanks using various hoses, nozzles, and fittings.
- Ensures all products, hoses and other tools are secured using approved securing method, such as tie downs, straps, etc.
- Conducts pre-trip and post-trip safety inspection of truck, trailer, and equipment. Reports all concerns, defects, incidents, or damage immediately.

- Provides excellent customer service to our customers and ensures accuracy and timeliness of deliveries. Monitors key performance data to anticipate customer service issues and opportunities, reports issues to supervisor, and follows up in a timely manner.

Your Role:
The Metrology / Calibration Technician is responsible for managing all aspects of the calibration program at the Twin Cities Sites. This includes helping other associates with gauging needs and requests. Also maintaining the calibration records, documentation, and local work instructions to ensure compliance to Vantive and industry standards. This position also includes the calibration of equipment.
What you'll be doing:

Collaborate with R&D Engineers and Quality to establish calibration specifications.

Calibration of Metrology equipment.

Perform technical approval of supplier calibration certificates, reviewing data and confirming approved ranges are calibrated, and accuracy met, before returning to service.
Initiate and track deviation reports for instrument changes and out of tolerance conditions.

Develop and maintain local Twin Cities sites calibration procedures.
Participate as calibration SME in audits, providing process support and documentation. Responsible for routine data collection, metrological reliability analysis, and metrics reporting.
Provide remote support to Global Metrology. Perform review of calibration work, supplier certificates, or validation documents.

As an Aircraft Engine Mechanic, you'll maintain, repair, and overhaul aircraft engines, modules, components and accessories to assure compliance with established company standards, contractual obligations and airworthiness regulatory requirements. Performs technical troubleshooting using mechanical ability and extensive product knowledge. Cross train in other complementary skills as needed to support production requirements.
What You'll Do:
Follow all required standards in the performance of assigned work displaying appropriate competencies in accordance with FAA Regulations, OEM manuals, and related materials. Incumbent is required to meet all training requirements set out in a separate, but specific Training Matrices chart for each job. Duties include but not limited to the following:
- Conducts necessary troubleshooting and/or repair (either on or off wing) on turbine engines.
- Disassembly and assembly of various models of turbine engines according to sequence utilizing aircraft tools, balance machines, surface grinders, drill presses, and other equipment for repair and/or overhaul.
- Receives engine parts to conduct inspections using precision measuring tools in order to detect physical defects such as cracks, burns, foreign object damages, proper screws and structure deviations.
- Evaluates engine parts to determine which parts are repairable or unrepairable; refers to micrometers and other precision-measurement tests to determine further routing to other destinations or to scrap parts.
- Inspect aircraft engine parts to determine and/or perform NDT requirements.
- Utilizes applicable database system in order to retrieve information regarding parts inventory, manufacturing models, serial numbers, and/or other pertinent information to ensure proper documentation.
- Refers to technical publications, specification sheets and/or other regulatory requirements in order to ensure that all tasks have been completed in proper sequence and required signed-off.
- Customer contact and travel (up to 25% of the time) may be required.
- General facility cleaning and maintenance.
Position Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- 1 - 5 years or more experience in gas turbine engine/components maintenance and repair.
- FAA Airframe and Power Plant license required or must be acquired within 1 year of job award.
- Previous engine maintenance experience in the aerospace field on turbine engines.
Preferred Characteristics:
- Engine maintenance experience on Honeywell, Rolls Royce and/or Pratt and Whitney experience preferred.
- Computer literacy skills are required.
- Must be able to read, interpret and understand technical manuals, work specifications and written work instructions, ability to read micrometers and other precision-measuring instruments.
- Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally with pers, clients, and public.
- Ability to get along with co-workers and peers.
- Maintenance of regular attendance and punctuality with customary tolerance.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
