We are seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist to provide locum tenens coverage for a facility located near Salt Lake City, Utah.
This position offers 24-hour STEMI call coverage for sporadic dates in December, providing a critical service to the community.

Position Overview: Role: Interventional Cardiologist (Locum Tenens) Setting: Inpatient, Emergency Room, Call Coverage Schedule: 24-hour STEMI Call Coverage (7a-7a) Upcoming Dates: December 1 (7a) ??? December 29 (7a) Job Responsibilities: Duties: Perform left and right heart catheterizations Conduct coronary angioplasty/stenting procedures Manage balloon pumps and Impella devices Perform transesophageal echocardiograms Conduct pacemaker placements Provide STEMI & general cardiology call coverage Procedures: Required to handle STEMI and complex cardiac cases Support: Team includes Echo Tech, Lab Tech, RN, X-ray Tech, and Nuclear Tech Requirements: Certifications: Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology Active Utah medical license Active BLS and DEA certification (transferred DEA accepted but must be retained for assignment duration) Experience: Clean malpractice and background record preferred Availability: Candidates must specify shifts per month and be available for December dates EMR: EPIC experience required, including completion of virtual EMR training before start date Additional Information: Credentialing: Estimated timeframe is 2-3 weeks Reason for Coverage: Backfilling for a retiring provider as the facility recruits a permanent replacement Patient Load: Approximately 20 cardiac catheterizations per month, with 5-8 being interventional Facility Capacity: Level 4 Trauma Center without cardiothoracic surgery backup How to Apply: To express interest in this locum opportunity, please reference Job ID #j-249156.
