As a Senior Outside Plant Construction Technician in Meridian, ID, you will oversee the construction and maintenance of PON/fiber network communications facilities in TDS Telecom serving areas. Performs advanced operation of construction equipment which includes, but is not limited to, trenchers, backhoes, end loaders, and plows. Manages the overall project while coordinating with internal and external resources. Ensures the entire team operates according to safety protocols.

Training:

As a Senior Outside Plant Construction Technician, you will have the opportunity to obtain a Class A CDL through our in-house training program. You will attend safety training at one of our new facilities where you will also be trained on Pole Climbing and Bucket Trucks. On-the-job training includes exposure to various construction equipment including Directional Drill Rigs, Mini Excavators, Trenchers, and Locators. Fiber optic training includes Fusion Splicing, Fault Detection, and exposure to OTDRs and other advanced testing equipment.

• Receives maps and staking sheets for the full construction project and ensures project is built, with limited guidance from supervisors.
  
• Communicates updates to the project team as required.
  
• Manages daily and weekly project work based on deadlines, material and equipment availability, weather, and other factors.
  
• Coordinates with supervisor to ensure continual supply of work and availability of materials.
  
• Drafts and submits redlines upon completion of project.

  • Locates cable and fiber in response to customer requests and/or construction needs.
    
  • Performs cable fault acceptance tests on newly constructed facilities.
• Actively trains, monitors, and coaches team members while sharing construction knowledge and experience. Performs quality control inspections and makes training recommendations. Ensures safety protocols are enforced.
• Services, cleans, maintains, and repairs equipment.
• Completes all related paperwork in a timely manner.
• Provides assistance to field services technicians, as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience leading individuals and/or teams through mentorship, job coaching, and project management
• Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines in order to meet TDS’s business needs including but not limited to our obligations to our customers and to our customers’ needs.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and remain eligible for DOT requirements.

Other Qualifications

• Must have the ability to obtain a Class A CDL. A current CDL is preferred at hire, but TDS will train and certify eligible associates through its in-house CDL certification program after hire.
• Physical requirements may vary based on company needs: Ability to climb poles, ladders, towers, and other structures as needed. Ability to kneel, dig, lift, and pull.
• Upon hire, must successfully pass all components of the Safety Training course curriculum.

• Preferred 2+ years’ experience in the construction of fiber optic cable outside plant networks -OR- 2+ years installation of any underground or overhead utilities will be considered.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician-led, 650+ provider multi-specialty group seeking a full time BC/BE Neurologist committed to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care. This is an inpatient, consultative opportunity, caring for stroke and general neurology patients at our Time Sensitive Emergency Level 2 (Primary) Stroke Center, in Nampa but is part of system-wide Comprehensive Program based at Boise SARMC. Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Nampa is a 106 bed (expanding to 224 beds) high-acuity, community hospital with a current run rate of 11 strokes and 30-35 DRGs a month. Our Neurohospitalist will work closely with Intensivists, Hospitalists and Emergency physicians. The Nampa hospital is a Level III Trauma Center holding Time Sensitive Emergency classifications for Stroke, Cardiology, and Trauma. Diagnostic and patient care services available to neurologists include EMG capability in the clinic and the hospital, EEG with web-based interpretation, TCD, and Botox injection.

The Saint Alphonsus Neuroscience Institute promotes collaboration with a team of neurosurgeons, neurologists and vascular neurologists, neuroradiologists, neuropathologists, neuro-otolaryngologists, physiatrists, a neuro-ophthalmologist and oncologists based out of the Boise campus. Boise is a ID State Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Nampa is a Primary Stroke designation as well. The schedule for this role consists of working a 5-day work week in the hospital; 7 am – 4 pm shift coverage. Stroke call during the regular shift hours. No weekend or night call.

Support Services: Well-established neurology outpatient clinic and inpatient neurology program located in Boise, tele-stroke services staffed by vascular neurologists, stroke coordinators, interventional neuroradiology and endovascular neurosurgeon service that includes biplane angiography, MRI/ MRA, CT/CTA, CT perfusion, 4-vessel angiography, and interventional stroke and aneurysm procedures. Nampa utilizes Boise SARMC for triage and escalated services.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency-training program in Neurology
• Fellowship in Neurohospitalist Stroke, Neurovascular or other a plus
• Board certified or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment

The Saint Alphonsus Heart Center in Nampa includes 2 cath labs with peripheral vascular capabilities, a cath prep & recovery unit, a 10-bed Cardiac Medical Unit, nuclear medicine, echo, EKG diagnostics and a Cardiac Recovery Unit. Quick access to full-service emergency and heart care services, Saint Alphonsus has the only 24/7 interventional cath lab in Canyon County and is the fastest growing cardiology program in the region.

Procedures performed include Diagnostic Adult Cardiac Catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions, Balloon Angioplasty, Coronary and Vascular Stent Placements, Permanent Pacemakers, Coronary Thrombectomy, atherectomy, Impella, Transesophageal Echocardiography, Peripheral Vascular Angiography, Peripheral Vascular Interventions, Intravascular Ultrasound, Intracardiac Ultrasound, Cardioversion, and Tilt Table Studies.

The Nampa practice is part of a larger, employed and integrated 20-member Cardiology team reaching across the health system.

The schedule for this full-time opportunity is a traditional workweek, Monday – Friday, plus consults and rounding. Call is 1:4, shared equitably with other Interventional Cardiologists. There is also an opportunity for paid excess call.

Support includes Interventional Radiology, Cardiac MRI, 3 Endoscopy suites and radiology available M-F (on call weekends and holidays). Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise (15 miles) provides Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery, Trauma and Neurosurgery. SAMG has a network of 74 primary and specialty care clinic locations. Requirements for this opportunity include:

• At least five (5) years’ experience with complex coronary interventions including atherectomy and Impella.
