JOB DESCRIPTION: Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)

REPORTS TO: APP Physician Liaison

DEFINITION OF POSITION: We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to diagnose and treat acute and chronic GI health conditions, as well as promote good health practices. You will see patients in both clinics and the inpatient care setting. Duties include conducting physical examinations, initiating work up and treatment, interpreting lab tests, and overseeing patients? plan of care. You will be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. Experience in one of the following subspecialties preferred: acute care, cardiology, family health, women?s health or urgent care, preference for experience in gastroenterology. As a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, a team spirit, positive attitude, and strong work ethic is required. Patience, critical thinking, and good communication are a must. Responsibilities

  • Examine patients and their medical records

The Saint Alphonsus Heart Center in Nampa includes 2 cath labs with peripheral vascular capabilities, a cath prep & recovery unit, a 10-bed Cardiac Medical Unit, nuclear medicine, echo, EKG diagnostics and a Cardiac Recovery Unit. Quick access to full-service emergency and heart care services, Saint Alphonsus has the only 24/7 interventional cath lab in Canyon County and is the fastest growing cardiology program in the region.
