In this role, you'll help keep our production systems running safely and efficiently. You'll install, repair, calibrate, and maintain the controls and instrumentation that support our food processing operations. You'll also help troubleshoot issues, support preventive maintenance, and contribute to projects that improve our equipment and processes.
What You'll Do
• Install, maintain, and calibrate controls and instrumentation used in food production.
• Develop PLC programs and help design SCADA control system architecture.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, and make effective repairs.
• Complete both scheduled and unscheduled repairs on plant equipment.
• Read and understand equipment manuals, electrical drawings, P&IDs, and work orders.
• Safely operate utility systems (steam, ammonia, compressed air, electrical, water, etc.).
• Complete corrective action tasks within 30 days.
• Use and handle chemicals safely while wearing proper protective equipment.
• Lead and manage large controls projects-from building and programming to testing.
• Maintain training required to serve on the emergency response team.
• Follow all food safety and GMP requirements to ensure product quality.
• Respond quickly to production floor controls requests to prevent lost production time.

This position is responsible for a large variety of unique duties within the maintenance department. Major components of this position are support to the maintenance department, contractor coordination, project management support and buildings, vehicles and grounds upkeep. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor but frequently receives daily assignments from the Maintenance Manager.
Essential Functions
Perform maintenance related duties to maintain facilities and grounds in a premier manner.
Keep assigned work orders current to seven days.
Assist maintenance technicians and other departments as requested for special projects.
Pickup, deliver, load and unload freight and move equipment between storage building and plant as required.
Maintain oil and lubricants for the maintenance team.
Provide contractor coordination and oversight, ensures quality of work meets or exceeds company standards. Verify contract employees adhere to company safety and quality policies.
Deliver of salt and chemical for water treatment of plant water circuit systems.
Assist with the maintenance of cooling towers and condensers.
Perform maintenance on department and office vehicles and other large equipment.
Operate large equipment for construction related duties and snow removal.
Maintain training requirements to serve on the emergency response team.
Comply with all company safety rules and follow PPE requirements to achieve no injuries and no lost time accidents.
Maintain standard records pertaining to daily work requirements in a manner that makes them a reliable data source for safety, quality and regulatory requirements and audits.
Understand and adhere to all GMPs and food safety policies and procedures and perform all work in a manner that ensures the highest standard of food safety and quality.
Attend and/or complete required safety and quality training sessions by the assigned deadlines
Use tools, spare parts and supplies in responsible manner yielding maximum profitability for VQC while maintaining equipment and facility to the highest possible standard.

Job Responsibilities:
Calls on accounts and covers daily routes that do not have coverage by creating an established and efficient routing pattern.
- Strategizes/preplans on how best to achieve sales and merchandising objectives and understands accounts’ buying patterns by understanding and reviewing company pricing and product programming information on a monthly basis and maintaining accurate historical account purchase information.
- Maintains product levels in accounts by taking inventory and restocking shelves (where legal).
- Ensures maximum brand visibility within accounts by using effective and current point of sale materials when appropriate.
- Services accounts by delivering products to customers in extenuating circumstances, handling customer issues and complaints and referring these issues, as appropriate, to management.
- May be expected to obtain payment depending on the market.
Extended route coverage in some circumstances.
- Attains standards of performance goals by achieving the distribution, volume, and activity goals of supplier brands as set by management.
- Ensures national account compliance where applicable by accurately completing all necessary surveys.
Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
- No prior experience required
- Basic PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
- Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
- Analytic and Reporting skills
- Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to hold Solicitor’s Permit
- Understanding of Wine and Spirits
- Strong computer, customer service, and interpersonal expertise
- Preferred previous sales experience

Education:
