Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Day Shift)

Pay Rate: $65/hr

Shift: AM Shift | 3 × 12‑hour shifts | 36 hrs/week | 12 hrs per shift

Schedule Options: 3x12 or 4x12

Location: Springfield, MA

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: Standard

About the Unit

This is a large, high-acuity Emergency Care Unit with 118 beds, serving a diverse and complex patient population. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with cases ranging from behavioral health and boarding patients to critically ill and ICU-level emergencies. Nurses must be confident in managing unstable and high-acuity patients.

Unit Details

• Unit Size: 118 beds
• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:5 to 1:6
• Case Mix: Behavioral health
• Boarding patients
• Emergency/trauma
• Critically ill / ICU‑level patients

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of ED or ICU experience (post-orientation)
• Certifications Required:BLS
• ACLS
• TNCC
• Strong critical care skills and adaptability
• Ability to excel in a high-volume, high-acuity setting

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
