Position Purpose:
The Medical Technologist performs phlebotomy and laboratory testing. Has knowledge of the clinical significance of results, monitors and understands operation of instrumentation, and reports results accurately and
rapidly.
What you'll do:
- Performs all clinical testing in assigned department.
- Records and reports test results accurately and promptly.
- Performs and interprets quality control testing following established guidelines.
- Maintains a high level of quality assurance.

About the Unit:
The Cardiac Progressive Care Unit at Mount Carmel East currently has 28 beds. They primarily see progressive care patients, low ICU acuity, fresh open hearts, lung surgical patients, heart testing, CHF, ventilated patients, wounds, and dialysis and procedural patients such as heart cath, pacemakers, cardioversions, etc. This unit is a springboard unit for nurses to either brush up on their unused skills or develop and expand skills in preparation for growing to an ICU unit, emergency department, and surgical services.

Mount Carmel East features a fully integrated cardiovascular center, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, a dedicated Women’s Health Center, a maternity center, a Network Cancer Program, and a comprehensive orthopedics and spine program. Experience: One to two years medical assisting experience preferred. In lieu of required education, two to three years of previous medical office experience is required.

Medical Lab Technician or Medical Technologist, Night Shift
*This position will work 1, 12 hour night shift a week. We are ideally looking for someone to work every other Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 pm - 6:30 am.

About the Unit:
The laboratory at Mount Carmel Dublin will provide a wide range of laboratory procedures that will aid clinicians in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients. There will be comprehensive testing in the specialties of hematology, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, blood gases, molecular, and blood banking. Located on the 1st floor will be an Outpatient Lab Service Center that will provide convenient hours for patients to have their blood drawn. Self-scheduling will be available to allow for little to no wait times. This laboratory will house all new state of the art instrumentation along with EPIC Beaker laboratory information system. The laboratory team will interact with other Dublin Hospital health care professionals to coordinate the best patient care experience.

Position Purpose:
Our Physical Therapy Assistants, PTA, provide physical therapy services to Mt. Carmel patients under the guidance and supervision of a Physical Therapist and following a written plan of care established by the physician and physical therapist. The Accountable Care Unit at Mount Carmel East is expected to open in the Spring of 2022. The ACU, located on 3 Green, will care for patients from acute to intermediate levels of care. These patients will include those who require complex care coordination for greater than 24 hours. The ACU will be managing patients who require services like telemetry monitoring, non-titrating vasoactive drips and stable Bi-pap patients. The ACU will have a high focus on organization and care coordination to decrease length of stay and avoid duplication of services.

About the Unit:
The Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit at Mount Carmel East is a 28 bed unit. On this unit, you would see largely a cardiac population such as CHF, new dysrhythmias, PCIs, pacers, and some CTS patients (TAVRs, Mitral Clips, etc.). There is also a vascular aspect mixed in and we work very closely with our vascular surgeons (Carotid Endarterectomy’s, Endovascular AAA Repairs, Fem pops). This unit has a great mix of experienced nurses and new nurses.

About the job:
The Registered Nurse (RN), within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The Staff RN is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of Mount Carmel Health System.
What you will do:

Assume responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed care givers as appropriate.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Position Purpose:
The Medical Technologist performs phlebotomy and laboratory testing. Has knowledge of the clinical significance of results, monitors and understands operation of instrumentation, and reports results accurately and
rapidly.
What you'll do:
- Performs all clinical testing in assigned department.
- Records and reports test results accurately and promptly.
- Performs and interprets quality control testing following established guidelines.
- Maintains a high level of quality assurance.
- Practices established safety procedures, including Universal Precautions and proper use of safety equipment.
- Able to recognize a problem by following prescribed strategies and make necessary corrections.
- Where no present criteria for decisions are available, will consult with supervisor/manager. In absence of supervisor/manager, will act to determine final decision.
- Coordinates and evaluates new reagents, procedures and equipment as requested by supervisor/manager.
- Performs routine scheduled and specialized maintenance of laboratory equipment.
What we're looking for:
- Education: Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
- Licensure / Certification: Certification from American Society of Clinical Pathologists, equivalent; eligible for certification.
- If applicable, must maintain active certification.

About the Unit:
The Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit at Mount Carmel East is a 28 bed unit. On this unit, you would see largely a cardiac population such as CHF, new dysrhythmias, PCIs, pacers, and some CTS patients (TAVRs, Mitral Clips, etc.). There is also a vascular aspect mixed in and we work very closely with our vascular surgeons (Carotid Endarterectomy’s, Endovascular AAA Repairs, Fem pops). This unit has a great mix of experienced nurses and new nurses.

Mount Carmel East features a fully integrated cardiovascular center, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, a dedicated Women’s Health Center, a maternity center, a Network Cancer Program, and a comprehensive orthopedics and spine program.
