Overview:

The Luxury Authenticator will report into the Director of Authentication. They will be trained in authenticating all categories of luxury product and assisting all WGACA staff with messaging the company’s authenticity standards and practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Authentication of all luxury product purchased
• Responding to customer and retail requests on inquiries regarding authenticity
• Create product knowledge guides and SOPs to be used company wide
• Audit several other parts of a buy for quality control. This includes but is not limited to condition, price/margin, whether the item purchased fits into the Buy List and other criteria that buyers are aware of when purchasing items.
• Coordination with shipping team on returning product rejected by our QC process
• Coordination with Authentication team to distribute PK and come to a consensus on authentication decisions for difficult styles
• In-person authenticity and PK seminars as needed
• Build knowledge & understanding of WGACA’s brand positioning, best-selling styles & price point
• Researching and describing luxury product
• Learn style names and markers of authenticity to date, authenticate and price product
