Job Summary: This position assists attorneys in the Transactions practice group on commercial real estate matters from intake through post-closing, including title and survey review, closing coordination, document preparation, funding/disbursements, recording, and policy issuance.

Responsibilities:

• Receiving requests for title commitments and requesting title reports or certificates of title from abstract companies; receiving and reviewing title reports and drafting title objection letters and analysis of surveys; drafting title commitments.
• Communicating by telephone, in person and in writing with buyers, sellers, brokers, lenders, appraisers, surveyors, insurance companies, title abstract and title insurance companies, taxing authorities, homeowners associations, attorneys, court personnel, and various other individuals and entities in connection with obtaining all necessary information for commercial real estate transactions.
• Coordinating real estate closings, including scheduling closings and reviewing of closing packets received from lenders; preparing of closing documents, including closing statements, affidavits, tax information statements, payoff letters, representation letters, deeds, assignments of contracts, deeds of trusts/mortgages, financing statements; ; participation in closings; coordinating deposits and disbursements; filing of deeds, deeds of trust and UCCs with appropriate authorities; requesting title updates; receiving title updates and issuing title policies; preparation of closing binders; and generally assisting closing attorney with all aspects of transactions.
• Receiving requests from clients for title updates and requesting same from abstract companies; receiving reports and drafting updated certificates of title or endorsements to title policies to lenders.
• Occasional research of land records.
• Tracking of real estate transactions throughout year for purposes of 1099S reporting; completion of 1099 Information Sheets and submission to reporting service.
• Drafting real estate-related documents, such as notices of foreclosure, lien notices, authorities to cancel, etc.

Supervision Received and/or Given:

• Occasionally work on projects for attorneys other than supervising attorney.
• Work closely with office manager on funds received and disbursed through trust accounts.
• Work on monthly reporting to title insurance companies on policies issued and opening of new files.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:

• Strong writing and communication skills; exceptional attention to detail; ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

• 5 years prior real estate experience in a law firm, lender, or title company setting.
• Proficiency with title/settlement software - preferably SoftPro, e-recording platforms, and UCC filing systems
• College Degree

Job Summary

The EHS Compliance Specialist is a critical, high-visibility role responsible for the leadership, ownership, and continuous improvement of all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs. This position ensures complete compliance with OSHA, TOSHA, EPA, and internal quality standards (ISO 14001, IATF 16949 requirements) to maintain a proactive, injury-free work environment. The Specialist serves as the primary EHS subject matter expert and driver of safety culture change within the manufacturing facility.

Major Accountabilities

EHS Leadership & Culture

• Owns and drives the site's EHS strategy, working collaboratively with the Plant Manager and Operations leadership.
• Creates and sustains a proactive, behavioral-based safety culture through employee engagement, recognition programs, and strong visible leadership on the plant floor.
• Leads the development, delivery, and documentation of all required safety and environmental training programs.
• Conducts thorough and root-cause-focused accident and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintains authority to shut down production or specific processes immediately due to imminent safety hazards.

Compliance & Management Systems

• Serves as the ISO 14001:2015 Site Representative, ensuring compliance, conducting internal audits, and driving continual improvement within the Environmental Management System.
• Manages and ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements (OSHA, TOSHA, EPA).
• Maintains and updates all official documentation, including OSHA Logs (300, 300A), training records, and environmental audit reports.
• Assists in the identification, analysis, control, and elimination of occupational and environmental hazards (e.g., LOTO, machine guarding, ergonomics, chemical handling).

Workers' Compensation & HR Collaboration

• Collaborates with the Human Resources Manager to administer the Workers' Compensation program, focusing on early intervention, return-to-work protocols, and minimizing recordable incidents.
• Provides coaching and technical support to managers and supervisors to ensure consistent adherence to safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of dedicated safety experience in a high-volume manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Expert knowledge of OSHA and TOSHA General Industry Standards is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 quality system requirements.
• Knowledge of any applicable customer-specific requirements.
• Core Competencies:
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to listen, coach, and present complex information clearly to all levels of the organization.
• High degree of thoroughness and attention to detail; does not assume compliance.
• Proven relationship-building skills across departments (Operations, HR, Quality).
• Computer and spreadsheet proficiency (MS Office Suite).
• Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.

The Parts Assistant will be help our Parts Team with Receiving shipments, Packaging, Shipping, Inventory Counting, delivering parts to our service department and keeping the work area neat. POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides basic leadership skills for assigned patients, collaborates with other departments and begins process of proactive thinking when implementing the plan of care. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum of one year experience required. Verification of course completion in accordance with all American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider guidelines is required. BSN highly preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

Current license from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas to practice as a registered nurse is required. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.

Counsels and assists patients and their families with personal and environmental difficulties which predispose illness or hinder the patient from receiving maximum benefits from medical care.

Acts as a therapeutic agent as a member of multi-disciplinary health and mental health teams.

Master's degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education is required.

One year's post master's degree experience in a health care setting is preferred.

Current state licensure from the Texas Department of Human Services is required.

Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the Ambulatory setting in accordance with UH policies and standards.

Supports and promotes University Health values to ensure patient/guest relations.

Performs the nursing process in a safe therapeutic manner in a designated clinic setting.
