Our Technologist are integral members of inter-professional teams in hospitals and clinics that are committed to outstanding patient care, driven by their expertise, compassion and operate at a higher level of practice .
Assist Surgeons and nurses with patients, equipment preparation, aseptic technique and surgical procedures in the operating room.
Observes patients for symptoms which may indicate a change in condition and reports to appropriate member of medical team for immediate action.
Prepares tissue and other specimens for lab analysis.
Maintains the inventory of sterile surgical supplies to ensure their immediate availability.
Prepares the operating room for surgery by assembling routine supplies, materials, instruments, and equipment; obtains special supplies indicated by physician.
Follows procedures for pre and post-operative accounting of sharps, sponges and instruments used in the surgical set up.
Accountable for the care and handling of instruments and equipment.
Maintains inventory of sterile surgical supplies to ensure immediate availability.
Operates sterilization equipment for the proper sterilization of surgical instruments.
Follows established sterilization policy and procedures.
May assist with the completion of patient records and other required medical forms.
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the principles of sterile technique and infection control; practices appropriate procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
Appropriately cleans surgical instruments and equipment.
Performs related responsibilities as required.
Individuals are not yet able to float between specialties.
Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Successful completion of a surgical technician training program or equivalent job training.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.

Our service lines include General, GYN, Urology, Bariatrics, Robotics, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Podiatry, ENT, Skull Base, OMFS, Plastics, and CVOR.
We are staffed 365 day a year.
There can be some late, on call and/or holiday requirements as well as a rotation to cover overnight shifts and weekend shifts for those dedicated teams.
There is an orientation period of 8-12 weeks, depending on experience.

Licensure

Certification

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and at a minimum be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Pay Range: $34.50 - $48.81

- Maintains supplies in assigned area
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work includes cross coverage in other clinic areas as team needs.
- Responsible for following equipment maintenance protocol, identifying problems, and coordinating appropriate repairs.
- Participates in Performance Improvement projects.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Successful completion of a medical assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification must be obtained within first year of employment and maintained thereafter.
- Clinic/physician office experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population serve within three (3) months of hire
