Masis Staffing Solutions is assisting our client, an electronics contract manufacturer, in their search for a Purchasing Buyer-Planner iin Leominster MA to drive purchasing and material planning activities within a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.
Starting Pay: $30 per hour based on experience
Schedule: Onsite, Monday thru Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm
Position Type: Temp to perm with long-term career opportunity
Key Responsibilities
- Lead purchasing and procurement of raw materials, electronic components, MRO, tooling, and services to support manufacturing operations
- Analyze MRP requirements and place purchase orders to ensure material availability aligned with production schedules
- Manage supplier pricing, quotations, lead times, and order execution
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels and safety stock to meet business and production plans
- Coordinate delivery schedules and expedite materials to meet manufacturing demand
- Support supplier selection, qualification, and performance evaluation
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives and purchasing efficiencies
- Resolve supplier quality or delivery issues, including defective materials and debit memos
- Ensure compliance with ISO-9001 quality standards and purchasing procedures
Qualifications
- 3β5+ years of purchasing or materials planning experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
- Strong understanding of supply chain, inventory control, and production support purchasing
- Experience purchasing electronic or technical components is a strong plus
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
- APICS certification a plus
