Commercial Construction Project Manager

Construction Project Managers take on a position of great responsibility for ADI Construction. As the lead contact for our clients, the Project Manager is responsible for the overall success of each project. These responsibilities include bidding and subsequent contracting with both the owners and subcontractors. Weekly and timely tracking of RFIs, Change Orders, Monthly Owner Requisitions and Subcontractor Invoices and Billings.

Space Planning Manager (Higher Education Renovations) — Owner’s Representative

Position Summary

The Space Planning Manager will lead space planning and interior layout efforts for higher education renovation projects on behalf of the Owner. This role oversees the full lifecycle of space planning—from request intake and programming through test fits, stakeholder alignment, and implementation—ensuring solutions meet campus space standards, code/ADA requirements, occupancy constraints, and customer functional needs. The position serves as a primary liaison between university stakeholders and project delivery teams (A/E, GC, FF&E, AV/IT), translating requirements into compliant, buildable interior plans and supporting project execution through renovation and closeout

Space Planning Leadership (Higher Education Renovations)

• Serve as the primary point of contact for space-related project requests; manage intake, documentation, and tracking/logging of requests across stakeholders.
• Lead space programming efforts: conduct stakeholder interviews, document needs, develop adjacencies, and translate academic/administrative requirements into space plans.
• Produce and manage layout options; facilitate decision-making with end users and governance groups as needed.
• Ensure layouts align with applicable requirements (e.g., accessibility/ADA, fire/life safety constraints, and occupancy/capacity).
• Validate practical constraints during planning (e.g., equipment/furniture placement, room capacity targets, and constructible wall/layout concepts).

Position Overview

Potomac Architectural Millwork is seeking an experienced Millwork Estimator to join our team in Woodbridge, Virginia. This position is responsible for the development, accuracy, and management of project estimates and quotations for custom architectural millwork projects.

The Estimator plays a critical role in securing profitable contracts while ensuring alignment between sales, production, and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and interpret Request for Quotes (RFQs) from clients, contractors, and project managers.
• Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to define scope of work.
• Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates using company pricing standards and margin guidelines.
• Perform detailed material takeoffs and quantify labor requirements.
• Prepare and submit vendor RFQs for specialty materials, hardware, and outsourced components.
• Develop comprehensive quote packages including pricing breakdowns, clarifications, and scope narratives.
• Provide value engineering recommendations when applicable.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and project management to confirm feasibility and constructability.
• Maintain accurate records of all estimates within company systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of continuous experience in commercial architectural millwork estimating.
• Strong understanding of high-end custom millwork including:

• Running trim
• Wall & ceiling treatments

• Integrated materials (metal, glass, stone, solid surface, laminates, custom finishes)
• Proficiency in:
• Microsoft Excel
• Bluebeam
• On-Screen Takeoff (OST) or similar software
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings.
