JOB SUMMARY
The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed, and will help to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The CT Technologist will demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required. The CT Technologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. Expectation to participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure. The CT Technologist will adhere to and maintain expected imaging competencies as management outlines. Behavior and communication skills must align with the organization's mission, values, and culture.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Troubleshoots and reports any equipment malfunctions to the Director/Manager and/or Biomedical personnel; does appropriate follow-up.

JOB STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS
- Education/Skills
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required
- Experience
- 1 year of CT experience in a Hospital or Clinical setting preferred
- Basic computer experience required
- Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
- One of the following primary modality certifications is required
- Radiography (R) by ARRT
- Nuclear Medicine Technology by ARRT or NMTCB
- Computed Tomography (CT) by ARRT or NMTCB is required within 1 year of hire (CT required upon hire in the state of New Mexico)
- State Licensure required
- Texas: MRT by TMB
- Louisiana: LRT (R), (N), or (F) by LSRTBE
- New Mexico: CT or FUS by MIRTP NMED
- BLS required
JOB SUMMARY
The Job requires considerable technical ability, experience, and judgment to perform cardiovascular ultrasound and evaluate the quality of data for Cardiologist interpretation. Must have substantial knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular disease, dynamics of blood flow, Doppler, and color flow imaging techniques. Expected to have a detailed understanding of ultrasound instrumentation, cardiovascular physiology and pathology, hemodynamics, and the ability to relate these findings into clinically meaningful data.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Demonstrates a working knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
- Performs diagnostic exams including but not restricted to Echocardiography, TEE, Holter monitoring 2D/M-Mode, and color Doppler.
- Performs echocardiograms by using ultrasound equipment and captures images of a patient's heart to assess its structure and function.
- Prepare patients for exams by explaining the procedure, positioning patients, and applying ultrasound gel for optimal image acquisition.
- Maintain equipment by ensuring the proper functioning of ultrasound machines and probes through cleaning, disinfection, and reporting any malfunctions.
- Document patient information by recording exam details, measurements, and observations for physician interpretation.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team by assisting physicians and nurses in performing echocardiograms and discussing findings to contribute to patient care plans.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ambulatory care Pharmacist: Provides ambulatory pharmaceutical care services utilizing approved protocols and/or collaborative agreement with other providers, including managing patient drug therapy, anticoagulation management, providing patient education, and preparing and/or overseeing the preparation and dispensing of medications. Performs duties in the clinical areas assigned such as but not limited to anticoagulation clinics, intensive medical home, transition of care, Discharge Medication reconciliation, etc.

- Ensures safe, appropriate, cost-effective drug therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Monitors drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies and appropriateness of drug and dose.
- Assists with pharmacokinetics consult service and renal drug dosing per hospital protocol.
- Reads, extracts, and interprets information in patient medical records accurately.
- Detects and reports suspected adverse drug reactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Sustains the hospital drug formulary, minimizing non-formulary procurements, utilizing therapeutic substitution protocols, and promoting rational drug therapy selection.
- Provides clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners as appropriate.
- Provides accurate, adequate, and timely drug information to the hospital’s professional staff.

- Conducts designated interventions as defined in department Clinical Intervention activities (IV to PO, Renal Dosing, Pharmacokinetic dosing support, Anticoagulation). Baseline departmental standards for reporting interventions for clinical productivity as defined by departmental goals.
- Participates in antibiotic stewardship, opioid stewardship, and shortage management activities as assigned.
- Attends interdisciplinary rounds when assigned.

Summary:
Responsible for the pulmonary care of critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under the direction of a physician with minimal supervision. Performs patient assessments and institutes respiratory care plans. Performs various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures in all areas of the hospital.
Responsibilities:

- Pulmonary Function Testing;
- Bronchoscopy assist;
- Hemodynamic Monitoring;
- Waveform analysis;
- Nocturnal SpO2 evaluation (Desaturation Studies);
- Polysomnography;
- Transport duties.
