Job Summary
This position will report to, and is responsible for working with, the PSEGLI Manager Capacity Markets & Policy to develop strategy, shape rules and advocate on behalf of PSEG Long Island Regulatory Markets and Transmission business in New York State. The RTO Policy and Strategy Manager - will represent PSEGLI on all LIPA matters and market interests in the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) as well as the New York Reliability Council (NYSRC) and various Transmission Owner Committees. This includes attendance and weekly reporting on all meetings, coordinating PSEGLI consultants used, conducting assessments of changes in market rules and tariffs as they relate to LIPA interests in New York and establishing strategies and voting positions representing the interests of PSEG LI and LIPA. This position will also work with internal departments to develop regulatory responses to inquiries and orders from governmental agencies such as the PSC, DEC, NYSERDA and FERC as well as NYISO. The New York RTO Policy and Strategy Manager will also assist regulatory group on various projects and assessments in PJM and ISO New England during periods of excess work flow.

Pathways, Training & Advancement Recruit Training followed by an EOD preparatory course at Great Lakes, Illinois, that builds swimming, conditioning, small boat skills, and risk management fundamentals; EOD Assessment and Selection Course that evaluates aquatic adaptability, running, swimming, academics, professionalism, and teamwork; Navy diver training at the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center; Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal, which covers demolition, conventional ordnance, underwater mines, missiles, landmines, and chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats; Basic Parachute Training and ongoing advanced training and qualifications throughout a career.
