Job Description Summary:

Riverside Methodist Hospital's Cardiac Imaging Lab is hiring a full-time (32 hours/week) registered Nuclear Med Technologist for PET CT and DSpect. The hours for this position are 8-hour shifts varying between 6:30a-4:30p and include a weekend rotation which usually equates to once per month. There is no call requirement, and the lab is closed on observed major holidays.
The Nuclear Med Technologist operates imaging devices, computers, ECG units, laboratory equipment, dose calibrator and radiation survey instruments.

Responsibilities And Duties:

Performs scintigraphic scanning as prescribed by physician.

Performs image manipulation and quantitative studies. Archives patient studies on computer and quality control studies.

Receives, stores, and prepares radioactive and non-radioactive materials in preparation of patient doses. Assures availability of proper doses for patients.

Performs quality control and maintenance procedures for scanning; maintains quality control and wipe survey statistics. Assures all equipment is performing properly to obtain quality examinations.

Consults with physicians; shows images and/or computer patient studies to radiologist and/or cardiologist. Provides physicians with quality data for interpretation.

Administers diagnostic or therapeutic radiopharmaceutical/ pharmaceuticals limited to those within the scope of practice, through various routes to patient, under the direction of a physician.

The CT Technologist operates computed tomography scanners for a variety of procedures following directives of staff radiologists. The position is responsible for explaining procedures to the patients, administering contrast media as requested, and scheduling patients in an organized manner. All duties performed per approved protocol.

Job Description Summary:

This part-time position is for the OhioHealth Physician Group Interventional Spine office located on Lane Avenue in Columbus, Ohio, but does include some travel between another location. The Radiology Technologist assists during epidural spine injections using a C-Arm. This is only one day per week, Tuesday from 8a-5p; no weekends or holidays.
The Radiology Technologist position prepares patients for examinations and performs diagnostic radiology procedures following guidelines set by OhioHealth and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Responsibilities And Duties:

Performs Diagnostic procedures. Conducts routine radiographic studies in diagnostics. Conducts routine and specialized fluoroscopy studies utilizing digital fluroscope equipment; Maintains proficiency in each of these areas. Provides radiation safety for operator and patient.

Obtains diagnostic radiographs -- Places patient in proper positions for procedures, adhering to department policy regarding routine. Positions anatomical part in position necessary to obtain optimum radiograph. Observes patient throughout procedure and responds to any observed change period manipulates equipment in proper manner, adjust technical factors to assure optimal images, and observes equipment safety. Critiques images inputs through only those optimal for interpretation. Repeats images as necessary.

Prepares patients for examination -- Receives orders/request for procedures from physician, nursing unit, or radiology office and makes necessary entries in electronic medical record. Greets patient and friendly manner and makes positive identification. Explains procedure in clear, understandable terms. Ensures all necessary clothing and jewelry is removed and patient is properly attired. Starts IBS and draws up medications.

Performs miscellaneous related duties -- Assumes duties of electronic imaging technician when necessary. Processes images for interpretation. Imports and burn CDs. Performs QC tests on X ray unit and impacts as necessary. Works with students enrolled in radiography program under program guidelines.

Job Description Summary:

The Surgical Technologist and/or the Certified Surgical Technologist prepares the room and gathers supplies needed for surgical procedures; delivers instruments and supplies to the surgeon and other members of the surgical team intra operatively; may function as second assistant to the surgeon; assists in the proper decontamination of the room, supplies and instruments post operatively.

Responsibilities And Duties:

Prepares for surgical cases by obtaining and preparing appropriate supplies, equipment and instruments, reviews surgeon's preferences to determine required items. Establishes and maintains a sterile field and presents instruments to the operating team. Delivers appropriate instruments/supplies utilizing proper principles of sterile technique. Acts as 2nd assistant to surgeon, performing duties related to draping and operative site exposure. Responsible for removal of all sharps and initials return card for verification. Can hold extremities. Assist with casting and splinting. Mixes medications on the sterile field once verification by a registered nurse has occurred. Assist with positioning, can fix specimens in formalin (annual competency required), assists circulator in proper care and handling of surgical specimens. Can wash and thaw grafts, can hold a stapler while surgeon fires it, can operate skin stapler for the purpose of wound approximation and can assist with the dislocation of joints if yearly competency is accomplished. Equipment and Supply Maintenance: Assists in post-procedure cleaning of the OR/equipment, returns equipment/supplies to proper areas; assists in room re-stocking. Unit Operations: Participates in unit operations to contribute to efficiency of department, effective communication, quality care, personal growth as well as development, training, and orientation of new personnel. Education and/or Experience

• Completion of OhioHealth OR ST Fellowship or
• Graduated from an accredited (CAAHEP) surgical technologist school preferred or equivalent military training or 10+ years' experience as a Surgery Technician.
• High school diploma or GED
• BLS
• ST certification preferred
• Must demonstrate basic critical thinking skills on their introductory team
• Perform primary role independently
• Demonstrate the ability to anticipate surgeon needs and communicates these with staff
• Identify actual or potential emergency situations and intervene safely with assistance and/or supervision
• Complete basic skills and competencies in 2-3 service lines as delineated in the Surgery Skill Competency Checklist.
• Independently scrub complex cases in 1-2 assigned service line specialties.

Job Description Summary:

This position prepares patients for examinations and performs diagnostic radiology procedures following guidelines set by OhioHealth and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Responsibilities And Duties:

Performs Diagnostic procedures. Conducts routine radiographic studies in diagnostics. Conducts routine and specialized fluoroscopy studies utilizing digital fluroscope equipment; Maintains proficiency in each of these areas. Provides radiation safety for operator and patient.

Obtains diagnostic radiographs -- Places patient in proper positions for procedures, adhering to department policy regarding routine. Positions anatomical part in position necessary to obtain optimum radiograph. Observes patient throughout procedure and responds to any observed change period manipulates equipment in proper manner, adjust technical factors to assure optimal images, and observes equipment safety. Critiques images inputs through only those optimal for interpretation. Repeats images as necessary.

Prepares patients for examination -- Receives orders/request for procedures from physician, nursing unit, or radiology office and makes necessary entries in electronic medical record. Greets patient and friendly manner and makes positive identification. Explains procedure in clear, understandable terms. Ensures all necessary clothing and jewelry is removed and patient is properly attired. Starts IBS and draws up medications.

Performs miscellaneous related duties -- Assumes duties of electronic imaging technician when necessary. Processes images for interpretation. Imports and burn CDs. Performs QC tests on X ray unit and impacts as necessary. Works with students enrolled in radiography program under program guidelines.
