General Manager

The organization is being acquired by a private equity-backed platform as part of a strategic growth initiative to expand product and distribution capabilities. This creates an exciting opportunity for an experienced, entrepreneurial operator to lead the business through integration while driving the next phase of commercial growth.
About the Role
The General Manager will serve as the senior-most executive responsible for the day-to-day operations and long-term performance of the business. Reporting to platform leadership, this individual will own the full P&L, execute the post-acquisition integration plan, and build upon the company’s e-commerce and B2B commercial capabilities.
This is a high-impact, hands-on operating role for an entrepreneurial executive who thrives in a private equity-backed environment and is energized by balancing near-term integration priorities with sustained growth execution.
Key Responsibilities
P&L Ownership & Financial Performance
- Own the full income statement and balance sheet, delivering on annual EBITDA and revenue growth targets
- Identify and drive growth initiatives
- Establish and maintain rigorous financial reporting cadences in partnership with platform leadership
- Execute operational improvements to drive margin expansion and working capital efficiency
Integration Execution
- Lead post-close integration across systems, processes, and culture
- Partner with platform leadership to develop and execute a structured 100-day plan and ongoing integration roadmap
- Support facility consolidation and synergy realization initiatives
- Oversee transition of back-office functions, technology infrastructure, and vendor relationships
Commercial Leadership
- Drive e-commerce revenue growth through optimization of digital channels, SEO/SEM strategy, and conversion improvement
- Expand B2B customer relationships and develop new sales channels
- Oversee pricing strategy, product assortment, and customer experience initiatives
Operations & Supply Chain
- Oversee warehouse operations, fulfillment, and inventory management
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure competitive sourcing and supply chain reliability
- Implement operational best practices and continuous improvement frameworks
Team Leadership & Culture
- Lead, develop, and retain the management team and broader employee base
- Build a performance-oriented culture grounded in accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
- Attract and develop talent aligned with growth and integration objectives
Sponsor & Board Reporting
- Serve as primary point of contact for platform leadership and investors
- Prepare and present regular business performance updates, including KPI dashboards and budget vs. actuals
- Participate in strategic planning and growth initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- 10+ years of progressive operating experience, including 3–5 years in a P&L leadership role
- Demonstrated experience in e-commerce, distribution, or technology-enabled product distribution
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and EBITDA improvement
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution
- Experience leading teams through organizational change, including integration or restructuring
Preferred
- Prior experience as President, GM, or CEO within a $5M–$50M revenue environment
- Experience working within or alongside private equity-backed organizations
- Background in connectivity, networking, AV, or electronics distribution
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems implementation or migration
