A client of Insight Global in the retail/technology industry is seeking Project Managers to assist with an initiative to update, upgrade & improve their facilities across the country. This will include general building updates as well as the upgrading of manual systems in warehouses & delivery centers, to automated systems. The goal is to improve operational efficiency within the locations make processes faster, safer and more efficient. We are looking for hands on project managers with relevant backgrounds to engineering, facilities, warehouse and maintenance related work who aren't afraid to get super involved and can direct and oversee the work being done to ensure timely and accurate completion. This is a fast paced role and requires a high level of organization skills to appropriately communicate with internal and external stakeholders about project timelines, budgets and any escalations that may arise. This person will be responsible for tracking projects in relevant software and updating playbooks accordingly as tasks are completed. This person will be in the field 80-100% of the time, executing on projects and will often be working odd hours or an occasional weekend to complete the work. Travel will primarily be regionally based, but could involve travel outside of the assigned region. Projects will focus on general building upgrades and increase in complexity as trust is earned. All travel time is paid and expenses are reimbursed but will be fronted on a personal credit card. A credit card limit of $6,000 or higher is required to appropriately support the travel, but expenses can be submitted weekly for reimbursement. Job Title: Senior Director – Electrical Engineering

Role Summary

The Senior Director of Electrical Engineering provides strategic, technical, and people leadership across low- and medium-voltage electrical engineering. This role owns engineering standards, design quality, technical risk management, and capability development, while scaling teams and processes to support growth, speed, and margin improvement.

• Set and execute the electrical engineering strategy aligned with business growth, ISO 9001, and product roadmap

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)

How You'll Contribute:

The Design Engineer (DE) is a contributing member of the core project team for Faith & Performance projects. The DE supports projects through the lifecycle from sales concept and design development to construction drawings and implementation support. Working under the guidance of a Senior Design Engineer or Project Engineering leadership, the DE assists in translating client needs and system requirements into coordinated technical designs and documentation.

The DE collaborates with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) as needed and is responsible for producing accurate drawings, layouts, and supporting documentation in accordance with project standards. The DE contributes to equipment selection and bill of materials development, subject to review and approval by senior engineering staff.

• Drive engineering efficiency and profitability by identifying misaligned workflows, reducing non-value-added engineering effort, and ensuring appropriate use of engineering support and documentation resources.
  
  
• Partner with Support Engineering leadership to ensure effective utilization of engineering support teams, removing barriers that prevent smooth handoff and enabling Engineers to focus on high-value technical work.
  
  
• Ensure Engineers are consistently focused on client relationship development, execution planning, technical accuracy, and system functionality throughout the project lifecycle.
  
  
• Maintain visibility into presales pipeline and active project lifecycle status, comparing as-sold versus as-delivered labor, identifying value-engineering opportunities, and supporting financial performance improvement.
  
  
• Collaborate with Field and Fabrication Services and Project Management leadership to align engineering capacity with project demand, participating in resource planning and ensuring engineering support meets business needs.
  
  
• Establish, enforce, and audit engineering standards and delivery processes that support consistent, high-quality outcomes, reducing variability and improving first-time quality across projects.
  
  
• Serve as the senior escalation point for engineering-related issues impacting project delivery or client satisfaction, intervening when projects are off track and guiding recovery plans with responsible managers.
  
  
• Provide leadership input on hiring, succession planning, and organizational design for Engineering Manager roles, ensuring alignment with technical requirements and cultural expectations.
  
  
• Track, analyze, and act on key engineering performance metrics, including utilization, margin contribution, rework rates, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction, using data to drive continuous improvement.
  
  

Required Skills and Experience

• 
  
  
• Bachelor Degree Required, preferably in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  
  
• 10+ years of experience in systems integration, audiovisual engineering, or a related technical field with progressive leadership responsibility.
  
  
• 3+ years of experience managing managers or leading large, multi-project technical teams.
  
  
• AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certification.
  Demonstrated success improving team performance and delivering measurable business results.
  
  
• Experience developing, implementing, and enforcing engineering standards and processes at scale.
  
  
• Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle from design through commissioning.
  
  
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Project Management, and Field & Fabrication Services.
  
  
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, system schematics, and technical specifications.
  
  
• Financial acumen, including labor forecasting, project budgets, and margin impact analysis.

How You'll Contribute:

The Design Engineer (DE) is a contributing member of the core project team for Faith & Performance projects. The DE supports projects through the lifecycle from sales concept and design development to construction drawings and implementation support. Working under the guidance of a Senior Design Engineer or Project Engineering leadership, the DE assists in translating client needs and system requirements into coordinated technical designs and documentation.

The DE collaborates with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) as needed and is responsible for producing accurate drawings, layouts, and supporting documentation in accordance with project standards. The DE contributes to equipment selection and bill of materials development, subject to review and approval by senior engineering staff.

What You'll Do:

• Contributor for complex engagements and works directly with Account Executives, clients, project teams and other DE's to develop specifications, designs, budgets, timelines and manage expectations.
  
  
• Conceptualize system designs and determine system requirements. Provide technical expertise and coordination information to support the architecture, installation and planning of live performance solutions (concert audio, cinematic multi-cam, theatrical stage lighting, house lighting, production IT, intercom, etc).
  
  
• Develop Faith and Performance project estimates, Bill of Materials (BOM), Bid Response submissions, and project agreements in partnership with the Sales Engineer and Proposal Manager
  
  
• Create Sketchup Models that assist in communicating concepts to the client in the early steps of the sales engagement, as well as being used as the basis for other design deliverables through manufacturers such as loudspeaker systems, camera plots, and house lighting designs
  
  
• DE may have client interaction and contribute to the P and L performance.
  
  
• Project lifecycle is important and learning the standards our clients are comfortable with is just as important as selling new technology and solutions where they fit. The position bears the responsibility to assist in developing long lasting client partnerships alongside the Sales Engineers & work with team members to maintain the account on all levels.
  
  
• Maintains expertise in the industry through ongoing review of trade publications, participation in industry trade shows, seminars and educational forums. May author articles and/or analyze trends.
  
  
• Attend appropriate manufacturer trainings, attend or lead lunch and learns and continue online education
