Job Summary

The Meat Department Supervisor is accountable to the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager and is responsible for directing, developing and managing the Meat Department and Perishable staff to protect company assets, maintain store conditions and presentation, maximizing sales customer and team member relations through proper controls such as sanitation, merchandising, payroll, required record keeping and compliance of Company, State and Federal policies, rules, procedures, regulations and laws.

Minimum Required Qualifications

The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Read, write and speak English
  • Perform basic math skills: calculation of percent, addition, subtraction
  • Understand and follow directions
  • Must be able to bend, reach, stoop and lift moderate-weighted product
  • Lift up to 35 pounds regularly and at times up to 75 lbs.
  • Push/pull equipment loaded with product
  • Work a flexible schedule consisting of daytime, evening and weekends
  • Ability to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or lower
  • Prior meat and/or supervisory experience preferred
  • High school diploma required, some college preferred
  • Ability to travel to nearby stores
Essential Job Functions

Performance of the essential functions of this position require the Team Member to possess the minimum qualifications listed above. These functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Order, receive and inventory department products.
  • Organize, clean and maintain coolers, freezers and cases.
  • Stock, merchandise and sign meat department to enhance sales, profits and presentation.
  • Perform managerial duties such as supervising, training and developing of team members.
  • Communicate to all levels of management.
  • Achieve sales and shrink objectives.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Achieve company standards of clean, fresh and friendly.
  • Proper use of store security systems and keys per company policies.
  • Has a Company recognized Food Safety Certification and/or can successfully complete training to receive and maintain a Company recognized Food Safety Certification
  • Perform other duties as assigned

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Paralegal & Firm Administration Support Specialist to join our team in a dual-capacity role. The paralegal component is the primary focus of this position, with support directed primarily to our Corporate, Not-for-Profit, and Litigation practice groups and, as needed, to other firm practice areas. The role also includes limited firm administration responsibilities supporting Meliora’s leadership.


Location: Hybrid In-Office / Remote (Delmar, NY)

Status: Non-Exempt Hourly


WHAT YOU’LL DO

Paralegal Responsibilities (primary focus):

•       Draft, edit, proofread, and process legal documents, letters, and client communications — primarily across corporate, not-for-profit, and litigation matters, with support to other practice groups as needed

•       Prepare closing checklists and ancillary documents for corporate transactions

•       Assist with closings, client meetings, and business development pitches

•       Monitor project tasks, assignments, and deadlines; implement reminder and calendaring systems

•       Assist with court filings and litigation support as needed

•       Assist attorneys with client scheduling and calendar management

•       Participate in practice group meetings as requested

Firm Administration Responsibilities:

•       Manage the billing process, including preparation and distribution of monthly reports, finalizing and submitting client invoices

•       Support the firm’s Marketing Officer with business development, marketing, and professional development initiatives, including tracking attorney CLE compliance and coordinating client events and firm initiatives

•       Assist with overflow work and ad hoc projects as needed

Education & Prior Experience

  • 5+ years of paralegal experience in corporate/M&A and/or litigation required.
  • Notary public certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced law firm environment is strongly preferred.


Technology

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as Adobe Acrobat required.
  • Proficiency with NetDocuments and Clio strongly preferred.

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Expected pay range as of this posting: $30.00 per hour (for candidates with 5 years of relevant paralegal experience) up to $38.46 per hour commensurate with additional years of relevant experience, qualifications and skill level.
