Job Title: Radiology Technologist

Employment Type: Per Diem

OR Interventional Technician

Must have strong critical thinking skills, work well under pressure with high acuity situations.  Prepares, operates, and maintains X-Ray equipment.  Position requires on-call responsibility.  Technologist’s primary role will be in neuro-endovascular with complimentary role in cardiovascular interventions.  Is the subject matter expert/clinical resource for these cases.

Job Title: Clinical Nurse Educator - Cardiac Cath Lab, EP and Interventional Radiology

Position Purpose

The primary objective of this position is to improve quality by providing nursing staff with appropriate education and developmental programs.  Approach to program development will be modified based on specific needs of the patient population to include neonate, adolescent, adult and older adult and will integrate knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a particular area of clinical expertise.

As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will:

• Collaborates with the Nurse Manager/ Clinical Team Leader to identify the educational needs of the nursing staff.

• Demonstrates proper patient care in the process of educational instruction. Using a competency-based checklist, monitors new employees’ progress. Communicates needs for adjustment to the Clinical Team Leader/Nurse Manager.

• Assists staff in obtaining educational resources.

• Develops programs to meet the defined needs.

• Participates in nursing performance improvement programs.

• Serves on appropriate hospital and nursing committees.

• Assists in the development and updating of departmental policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Nursing and/or Nursing Education required.

Notifies equipment users, CE Managers, and Regional Director of repair status and delays as necessary.

Interacts with clinical staff to understand and resolve operational problems in scheduling and completing PM procedures while minimizing interference to hospital departments.

Determines need for replacement parts and supplies, selects the most cost effective source, and submits properly completed parts request using established policies and guidelines.

Completes corrective and planned maintenance work order documentation per policy.

Promotes teamwork by keeping others informed, participating effectively in group decision making, works to accomplish team objectives and projects, and solicits feedback about one's effectiveness as a team member.
