As a Decorative Interior Repairperson, you will be essential in ensuring that our aircraft interiors meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Position Responsibilities:ย ย 

  • Obtain work assignments from the team leader or review relevant paperwork to determine tasks.ย 

  • Perform walk-through inspections of aircraft interiors to identify and document visible defects for repair.ย 

  • Make repairs to interior trim and furnishings using materials such as plastics, vinyl, and metal, and remove stains or scratches.ย 

  • Use prints, specifications, and documents necessary to accomplish work effectively.ย 

  • Obtain and verify kitted repair supplies, ensuring color combinations are suitable for the aircraft.

  • If supplies are not pre-picked, gather specified materials from storage areas as outlined in installation plans or non-conformance records.ย Disassemble defective interior trim parts using hand tools and clean surfaces prior to applying new materials.ย 

  • Apply potting compounds, primers, adhesives, and special finishes as required by specifications and work orders.ย 

  • Fit and assemble detail components to repaired parts according to specifications and drawings.ย 

  • Paint or touch up repair areas using appropriate tools to achieve the desired finish, including mixing and matching paint as needed.

  • Rework materials per engineering specifications and incorporate changes as needed, including leather repairs and touch-ups.ย 

  • Remove marks and scratches from metal surfaces using appropriate tools and techniques.ย 

  • Seal edges of repair areas with color-matched sealant as required.

  • Consult with engineering, planning, and inspection on job-related issues and contact team leaders or supervisors when assistance is needed.ย 

  • Document repairs identified by other mechanics and maintain personal certifications as required.ย

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:ย 

  • Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.ย 

  • Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.ย

Position Responsibilities

  • Review job assignments using bar charts, SOI, IP, and consult with leads to obtain necessary drawings.

  • Locate work areas using drawings and electronic resources that specify airplane and section numbers.

  • Determine and obtain the correct fasteners from PCA/MMO control per specifications.

  • Install and rework interior parts and assemblies, including carpets, stowbins, and seats.

  • Select and use appropriate drill bits, reamers, and countersinking tools for pilot and full-size holes.

  • Drill, ream, and countersink holes in parts/assemblies per specifications and instructions.

  • Disassemble parts, deburr holes, and prepare surfaces for fastener installation.

  • Apply sealants, primers, adhesives, and corrosion-inhibiting compounds as required by specifications.

  • Install fasteners in the correct sequence using appropriate tools, adhering to specifications.

  • Mark and symbolize work for subsequent riveting and install cables and wire bundles as needed.

  • Inspect completed work for defects, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and report any job handicaps.

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) KC-46 Tanker Program is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and inclusive First Line Communications and Navigations Engineering Manager to lead the Communications and Navigations Systems team from either Tukwila, WA or Everett, WA .

This is an exciting time in the program as we partner with our US Air Force customer for enhanced mission systems upgrades as well as new international customers to grow the business. In this role you will be responsible for the engineering management of an integrated communication suite and aircraft navigations subsystem of electronics hardware. Leadership responsibilities will include management of the engineering team responsible for all aspects of the avionics hardware, including the design/architecture, integration, lab/aircraft testing, airworthiness certification, new business proposals, and supplier technical management. In addition, you will be in charge of managing the financial labor and material budgets as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for the team.

The Boeing KC-46 "Pegasus" is the new US Air Force aerial refueling tanker aircraft designed to support multi-role missions including refueling, cargo/passenger transport, and medevac airlift. The KC-46 is a military commercial derivative aircraft based on the Boeing 767-2C aircraft and modified per US Air Force specifications for the primary mission of aerial refueling US and Allied aircraft. The KC-46 accomplishes this refueling mission using either the Hose & Drogue or the Boom systems, which are capable of transferring fuel at rates of 400 or 1,200 gallons per minute, respectively. The KC-46 is also equipped with a suite of tactical situational awareness systems and self-defensive systems that allow the aircraft to provide closer support to combat aircraft when performing missions.

This position will report to the KC-46 Mission Systems Avionics (MSA) Senior Manager and will represent the Communications and Navigation Systems team for the KC-46 Tanker Program.

Position Responsibilities:

* Provide leadership, project management, and technical guidance to the engineering teams responsible for the system design/architecture, airworthiness certification, technical supplier management, production & fleet sustainment support, and RCCA investigations.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

* 5+ years of experience working in an electrical design engineering environment (with emphasis on electronic and electrical systems design and analysis).

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) is seeking KC-46 Mission Systems Avionics Engineers to join the KC-46 team as equipment managers in Everett, WA or Tukwila, WA . This role will primarily be responsible for supporting engineering design, integration, test, certification, and hardware/software management for assigned mission systems avionics sub-systems.

The Boeing KC-46 Pegasus is the USAF's new aerial refueling tanker aircraft designed to support multi-role missions including refueling, cargo/passenger transport, and medevac airlift. The KC-46 is a military commercial derivative aircraft based on the Boeing 767-2C aircraft and modified per USAF specifications for the primary mission of aerial refueling US and Allied aircraft using either the Hose & Drogue systems or the Boom. The KC-46 is also equipped with a suite of self-defensive and tactical situational awareness systems that allows the aircraft to get closer to the fight when supporting combat missions.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Mid-Level or Senior Level Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

* Support the engineering design, development, analysis, testing, and certification of the mission avionics systems to ensure seamless integration with software and higher-level systems and platforms.
* Support the design, development, validation, and verification of system level requirements.
* Assist in the development of test plans and procedures in support of certification activities.
* Coordinate system-level integration for mission avionics hardware and software.
* Support the definition and execution of critical tests of various types to validate the performance of designs against system requirements.
* Provide technical management of relevant aspects of critical suppliers and Boeing software team members to ensure compliance with design requirements; support for products will encompass the entire lifecycle including proposal, development, production, and in-service support as well as flight and laboratory testing.
* Gather information to support proposal development and conduct trade studies for future upgrades and new business opportunities.
* Coordinate and ensure FAA, military certification, and Boeing airworthiness activities for the mission avionics systems and its components.
* Coordinate and consult with specialty engineering Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) such as safety, electromagnetic emissions, and cybersecurity.
* Provide troubleshooting support for production labs and aircraft when technical issues occur.
* Conduct technical issue investigations and Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCAs).
