The nurse in the post anesthesia role coordinates the care of the patient, is the patient advocate throughout the post operative experience.
Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and growth and development needs of the patient.
- Develops a plan of care using assessment data.
Plan of care is individualized to include specific patient problems and needs.
- Implements nursing plan of care on assigned patients.
- Evaluates the patient's response to nursing interventions and teaching.
- Demonstrates leadership skills.
