Key Details: Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Specialty: General Surgery Start Date: January 1, 2025 End Date: March 31, 2025 Coverage Type: Call Only Practice Setting: Inpatient Average Patients per Shift: 15+ Responsibilities: Provide on-call coverage for emergency services and surgical procedures.
Perform a variety of general surgical procedures, including but not limited to: Appendectomies Cholecystectomies Hernioplasties Laparoscopic surgeries Breast surgeries Gastrointestinal endoscopies Vascular procedures Complete post-operative consultations during your shift.
Requirements: Board Certification: Required; must be board-eligible or certified in general surgery.
Licensure: Must hold an active medical license in Oregon.
Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; other certifications preferred but not mandatory.
Experience: Acute care surgery experience preferred.
Schedule: Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (7 AM
- 7 PM or 7 PM
- 7 AM) On-call Requirements: Providers will be on call for the emergency department.
Support Staff: PA/NP coverage will be available for assistance during daytime and weekend shifts.
Benefits: Competitive hourly rate based on contracted rates.
No clinic responsibilities, allowing for focused surgical practice.
Flexible schedule with the potential for one week on and one week off coverage.
Additional Information: The facility is certified for stroke care and has a Level 3 trauma designation.
