- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Travel RN's must have ICU/Intermediate (Stepdown) experience with a nurse to patient ratio of 3 to 1 or 2 to 1.
Progressive care or telemetry is not adequate.
ICU/Intermediate nursing skills.
Must have trach and vent experience (frequently see trach/vented patients on the unit).
- Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes.
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: We titrate Cardene, Cardizem, Amio, Dobutamine, Heparin and Vasopressors if low dose or infrequent titration.
- Is there a Charge Nurse &/or House Supervisor on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes.
