- 6 patients per shift with average 5 patients seen during call
- Both inpatient and rounding required
- General neurosurgery and adult neurosurgery required
- Skull base surgery experience required
- Spinal surgery with and without instrumentation required
- Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine procedures
- Tumor experience preferred

Surgical Services at North Alabama Medical Center consists of 15 surgical suites, 6 Endoscopy Rooms, 6 private Pre-Admission Testing rooms, and 30 same day surgery rooms. Our surgical team consists of specially trained surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, surgical technologists, certified nurse anesthetists and other highly trained professionals. Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
- 1 to 2 years of ICU/ER/PACU experience preferred.
- Must have an active AL or Compact RN License.
- Must have ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire.
What you will do
RN responsible for providing the immediate post-op recovery care of the Perioperative patient in the PACU through the use of the nursing process. The Nursing process is defined as the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluating of nursing care pertinent to the individual patient.
